A must have for any guitarist who is wanting to learn proper technique and classical guitar.

I am a professional musician, and have been for many years. I even used to teach Flamenco guitar. After 5 strokes in just a little over a year I had to relearn a lot to get even close to my ability after playing guitar for almost 20 years. I have just recently started on that journey, but I must say this book is a very good tool. For those wanting to learn more comprehensive finger picking, or classical finger style this book is a sure beat for you, and it even has some beginner Flamenco exercises in it. I am glad I got this book. I will say if you buy the kindle version of this book as I did you will want to get the kindle app for your PC because the lessons can be hard to read on a Kindle.

Exactly what it says. Finger exercises that, if you don't give up after a few pages, will no doubt make you a MUCH better guitarist. Page 14 had me in agony, staring at and willing my ring finger to move, but unable to get any messages to it!Glad I got this. Something to do when you cant be bothered to practice! Watch TV whilst doing a few of these a hundred times over. There are two Pumping Nylon books, both with the same info, one with notation, one with notation and tab. Cant go wrong with either.

After playing guitar for 20 years, This was a perfect way to reinspire extremely challenging book, perfect.

I am only part way through the exercises in this book but Amazon is asking for my review. All I can say is, I wish I had discovered this book a long time ago, like back in the days when Ahnuld made the above phrase popular. I've been playing guitar for over 35 years and until now (I realize) it's always been about finding shortcuts, tricks, and easier ways to do things. This philosophy, never before realized, became readily apparent within the first few pages of exercises, along with all the shortcomings and limitations it imposed on my playing. For shame! I've been exposed as the 90 pound weakling that I really am!

It's all good! Can't get any better!

My flamenco Guitar teacher told me to get this and we focus on different things that it teaches. Mostly about how to shape the nails, because my teacher said that sadly a lot of teachers don't focus on the nails. My guitar teacher took a lesson to reach me how to shape it and file it so they don't catch.

I love that this book is available in TAB. It's extremely well written, and will help you improve what you're already playing and open up doors to more music down the road.

Great book. Having music notation and tab means you can get the exercises down quicker. Strings, frets, notes and fingering are all catered for making it a relatively good experience - doing repetitive exercises - the foundation of good guitar technique

Purtroppo l'aggiunta delle tab (indispensabili per chi non legge in modo fluido la musica) ha completamente sconvolto l'impaginazione con un risultato pessimo a dir poco.La grandezza delle tablature e degli spartiti varia a seconda dell'estro dell'impaginatore e questo compromette l'usabilità del manuale.Per quanto riguarda i contenuti, francamente li trovo poco utili. Gli esercizi sono noiosissimi e non invogliano certo all'esecuzione.Di una certa utilità potrebbero essere i 120 arpeggi di Giuliani, ma le tablature sono spesso imprecise. Per gli arpeggi di Giuliani su internet si trova di meglio in formato libero, basta cercare. Soldi buttati.

This book is unreadable and unusable on a kindle paperwhite and the kindle software that comes with it.The music notation is in a bad format and you cannot see the exercises at all. It even appears faded on the paper white.It's a good book with sound advice, just not in electronic format. Since it's completely unusable for me, I have no choice but to give it a low rating.
