Yes, it's expensive, but if you compare it to a cheap shoddy frame it's instantly apparent why--and it's not just that it's made in the USA.This stand's parts are carved from solid oak, the hardware is heavy-duty, and the whole thing is beautifully precision-engineered. The parts are all clearly labelled and the assembly instructions are easy to follow. The result is an extremely sturdy piece of equipment suitable for needlework up to FOUR FEET wide - yes, you can buy extra bars for this that go up to 48 inches! (Those aren't included with this package, but they're widely available.) If you have a recliner, this will probably fit over it, and it's highly adjustable.I bought a big photo equipment bag to store the parts in when it's disassembled, and once I got everything packed into it, that bag was HEAVY. This stand is rock solid and built to last and to hand down to the next needleworker in your family. Definitely an heirloom. Glad I kept shopping around until I settled on this. No regrets!

It is one of the best stands I have ever bought. It is really great for very large projects. It is adjustable. Would buy a smaller version if they made it.

Assembly not so easy. Footprint takes up a lot of floor space. You will need a lot of room. When turning scroll from front to back to tie off, knobs fall off. These are pass through screws, so if scroll is going back and forth eventually the knobs on inside will work there way off. I thought this was a very nice looking stand but that's about all it's got going for it. Better off with fewer moving parts.

I'm very happy with my American Dream floor stand, it holds my 48"scroll frame. There's a place for scissors, a pen if needed. It's easily adjustable. I move it from left to right when I need to. It's sturdy enough.

I like it !My shipping slip stated that due to a previous review extra holes had been drilled to accommodate the top cross bar moved a bit lower. No such hole exist on my product. I talked with customer service at embroidery.com and the manager who asked me to send pictures of my frame..I did and have never heard a response even though I sent emails asking. I also asked where the extra holes would be so we drill..no response.Kind of an expensive item to not have what was stated.Otherwise I am pleased.

I have been wanting this for a really long time. When it came it was well labeled and easy to assemble. I have loved this. My project rather large and I have had no problems with stability. It is build to withstand the weight even when extended
