Q: Does this work for pop rivets?

Yes it works for pop rivets. That is what it is designed for. (: I used it to replace over 150 screws to my plastic shed. The guy who put the shed together used a impact driver instead of a drill driver and striped the plastic the screws went into. This adapter worked great and saved me a lot of time verses a manual pop rivet gun which I also have.

depends on what came with your tool

Q: mine work ok but its very woobly, wigly, not so stable. is this normal?

not sure how you mean woobly? with the extra length on top of a drill it will be unstable but it is workable. the problem I had with it is that its time consuming to remove the stud after each rivet is installed and I eventually broke the jaws on the inside after installing about 50 rivets so its not for the heavy user. a air powered or electric powdered rivet gun would have been a beter purchased.

Anyone try a right angle (drill) chuck adapter for tight spaces? Don't know if they're strong enough. Also going to try a right angle cordless drill.
