!!
I love all Judy Correy books, but I will say this one threw me in for a loop.Yes, I liked the book, but the two main characters, Easton and Juliette, were very interesting.I am glad I read it and I will continue to read her books, but this was just a very different book from her past books.

Beautifully written story
I discovered Judy's books this year and have loved all of them, but this is by far some of her best work! I loved the story between Juliette and Easton so much, I couldn't stop reading and got through the whole book in one sitting. I feel like their story would make for a really great sequel if Judy wanted to take it in that direction. Her books are so well written, and the storylines so great. I'm a bit of a love story addict, and these are some of my favorite. Judy does such a great job of making the story about the couples, and not about their physical relationship, but still somehow manages to pack the same amount of heat in them that other novels who do focus on that have.In this particular book, she did a really great job with how she handled the nature of the content, and you can really care she took a lot of care to represent every possible side of the situation well. I was bawling like a baby in the last few chapters. I really can't wait to see what she puts out next. I may be a bit old for the high school romance genre at the age of 27, but the characters and storylines in Judy's books are so real and relatable, that it doesn't even feel like the typical cheesy teenage romance stuff you normally read. I def recommend everyone give this book a read, you'll love it!

Tear Jerker
I can't say I was ready for this one. So many emotions. My heart was on a Rlrollercoaster and I do love rollercoasters. These Ridgewater High Romance stories get me all in my feels every time and I just love Judy for that. This story flowed the quickest for me because I just couldn't put it down. Thought I was not going to like the one sided viewpoint, because the last one had alternating viewpoints but it worked well for this story. Can't wait to continue on this journey. Judy, you got a fan for life ❤️

SPOILERS AHEAD..fair warning.
Ok first of all this kills me to leave a review like this on one of my favorite author’s books. So you’re probably thinking, why leave a review then? Well, this is for people who are sensitive to subject matters pertaining to this book. I am a person who does not normally give spoilers. I don’t like to read reviews that spoil the plot, BUT I am giving you fair warning that this review WILL contain spoilers because I feel so strongly about this subject that I felt I needed to address it. So read at your own risk.***SPOILERS AHEAD***Ok so here we have Juliette and Easton’s story. While I loved Easton, I did not like Juliette AT ALL. Her lies, deception, and attitude throughout the whole book was a complete turn off. While I obviously knew Juliette was pregnant going into this book, I was not expecting this turn of events. I feel if you play, you pay. Now, before I step on anyone’s toes, let me say I do realize that mistakes happens, the heat of the moment etc.. But... Juliette is 16 years old and pregnant. She slept with Easton for the wrong reasons. She knew she was leaving for Paris and wanted Easton to remember her. That’s it. After knowing how he felt about it. Now Easton had just as much part and could have said no too, so he doesn’t get a pass. Anyone reading this series knows about the purity rings Easton and his sisters had. But what really made me want to leave this review is this. You can really see Juliette’s immaturity coming through with her selfish decision. Planning on giving the baby up for adoption without the consent of Easton and without him even knowing. Not only did she lie to keep her pregnancy a secret until she got caught, but even after she got caught she was still so stubborn about the subject because SHE wanted a better life for HERSELF. She was so worried about HER future and HER schooling and HER career and not the future of her baby that much. She did use that as an excuse at one point saying, she couldn’t give the baby the life it deserved, but it was mainly about HER. That’s where my saying comes from..you play, you pay. If she was so grown up to make the decision to play then she should be grown up enough to deal with the consequences. I know people would argue the fact of, well she made a mistake and now she’s giving him up for adoption instead of abortion. I do agree that is better, but she should have thought about all of this BEFORE her actions. Then once Easton did find out, he wanted the baby. But no, it was her way or the highway. In the end, I felt Easton was pressured into choosing between adoption or Juliette. Which made the relationship end up feeling forced and I felt disconnected to Easton as well at that point. I guess it’s good that an author can provoke this much emotion out of a reader, but on the other hand there should be a disclaimer of some sort for readers who are sensitive to this subject.***END Spoilers***Now having said that, would I continue to read Judy’s books? Yes, I would. I love her writing style, and the emotion and chemistry between her characters. I really love YA books and she is a fantastic writer on the subject. Her books are clean. Even this one, no discriptions of the act, language or innuendo. Though the subject matter alone should be for a more mature teen on this particular book, but the rest of the series is more squeaky clean.

Teen pregnancy and hard choices
Well, this book certainly brought out more emotion for me. Off course there was a HEA but it was bittersweet. This story dealt with hard issues including teen pregnancy, adoption, as well as being teen parents. Facing the consequences of an unexpected pregnancy are never easy. I think the author did a good job of not just flossing over the hard issues. Not all stories like this have a HEA. It is an interesting story as I am sure we all know people who have had to make these hard decisions. One of my high school friends, for example, faced similar issues and made similar decisions. I liked the characters of both Easton and Juliette. At first Juliette was shown to be a liar and a sneak. I don’t think she was making good choices and lying isn’t ok but so don’t think it was a normal thing for her. Easton though showed more integrity. He may have gotten Juliet pregnant but he took responsibility for his actions, defended Juliet, stepped up and admitted his mistakes, and made changes in his life to not make the same mistakes.
