Gerbing 7V Battery Heated Hunting Blind

The heated cushions added just the right amount of foam between you and the cold ground in the blind. I ran my heater at the highest setting. The heater was great first thing in the morning when you really needed it, but by noon the battery was spent. Still think it is a great product. My hunting partners got tired of me telling them how toasty warn I was.

Overall this seems like a decent product. The seat does produce a decent amount of heat. Unfortunately due to the warm weather this year, the seat was mostly used as a back pad. I gave this a three star rating based on the battery's storage pocket sewed on the edge of the pad. The pad comes with what looks like a very nice lithium ion battery. The battery connects to a wire plug inside this battery storage pocket. Unfortunately, the pocket is held close by fairly weak magnets and there is little basically no padding to protect the battery inside this pocket. As hunters we all know how abused our equipment gets on any given hunting excursion, and on a couple of occasion I noticed the battery hanging out of the pocket by the wire that connects it to the heat coils. My concern with this is obviously the durability of the wire and connection to the battery overtime. Admittedly, after one short season of useI have not had any issues, but only time will tell.

Bought this for Xmas to keep my husband warm while smoking his winter cigarettes on the porch, but he is still using it. Turns out the form and warmth are perfect for his lower back pain. The first unit had a defective battery ( common with lithium batteries in general) but replacing it under warranty was no problem. I'm sure this wasn't designed for constant use, but it's been 6 months of being used several times a week while being sat on constantly and it still works.

Gerbing makes the best battery operated outdoor hunting accessories and hunting vests. The blind cushion allows the hunter to stay warm in the Stand or blind. The battery works great and is easy to recharge. I love it.

It works but if it is very cold you can not feel the heat at all
