I used the same bar soap for many years, perfectly posh hippie bar soap. I absolutely loved that sun and there was no scent like it anywhere else which made it even harder for me when the company decided no longer to sell it. I could not for the life of me find the same scent anywhere and I searched high and low. I ended up settling on that every man jack sandalwood which smelled amazing but not all their products are up to par. Some of them just stink all together and do not do as advertised.In my searches for the perfect bar soap and sent I did come across this many of times but listening to the reviews which were good but the way people described the smell made me feel like it was going to be an old time old person sent. So after many of adventures to the store making my wife drive there due to the fact that I am a blind individual and due to the fact that I made I spend quite a lot of money on other soaps testing and more testing driving my kids absolutely insane by standing there smelling every single bar of soap we came across not only that having to make them read it to me all the ingredients etc. Little did I know that all I had to do was purchase this bar soap from the beginning and my adventure would’ve been over.This is an absolutely amazing product, it did not dry out my skin did not give me acne and did not cost me to get a rash as I have very, very sensitive skin. But what I loved most about this soap is the scent hast to be one of the best sense I have ever smelled in a bar soap yet to date. Also, the scent lingers and stays on the skin but not overwhelmingly. As soon as I use this product for two days only I decided to purchase the rest of the line of number 63. Can’t wait for the rest to arrive. I love the fact that not only can I enjoy the bar soap but I can have the moisturizer and other stuff to go with it.If you’re wondering we’re on the fence like I was, In my opinion I have to say do not be. Bite the bullet and get this hope it’s amazing! Not only did I love it my entire family loves it as well. But what matters to me most is the wife, and yes she definitely loved it.Finally, I have to add if there’s typos in this review only due to the fact that I am blind and have to use speech to text. And I hate, hate going in and fixing each and every typo. Only mentioning this so you do not think this is a fake review. I know English well and I can write good punctuation however it is often a pain on my iPad. Enjoy the product everyone

The soap is really good. It has a smell unlike that of anything on the market. It lathers nice and doesn’t dry out your skin. That being said the most recent cube seller in 2023 is gouging which violates the seller’s agreement in Amazon’s TOS.The soap on the rope is a fair price. And is no different from the cube. I suggest buying the rope version even if comes with a rope.

I like the size of the bars, nice big flattened square slabs. I like the earthy production value of the materials they use individually to encase the soaps for presentation. I purchased the Gold Moss, Pine tar, and Citrus something. From the scent alone, I went straight for the Pine Tar Bar, but in hindsight which is 20/20, I would have liked to have tested the pine tar last of the three.The Pine Tar: Higher than an A+The Pine Tar soap was a six-star product (out of 5 stars nonetheless). It left my skin sultry and with an uplifting pine scent. At different times and locations, I got winks from various cute girls after using it, so it appears to have spanishfly properties. After I used it for a number of days, each time, I felt zesty clean and refreshed, which put some pep into my step and gave my glide a little stride. My pores felt properly cleansed. I was very sad when the bar of soap ran out and vanished into a semi-translucent nub. This is one of the best soaps I have ever used in my entire life. The little bits of natural exfoliating materials (perhaps oatmeal?) within was a nice touch and thoroughly enjoyed the soft scratching quality of it. This is a soap that I don't mind paying the expensive price for, it lives up to the expensive price and flies far past the finish line, arms behind, for the golden victory. I can honestly say I have never seen another soap measure up to the pine tar bar, and I've tried dozens of different brands of soap from the mainstream kind to the home-made cottage industry versions. Not all soaps are created equally.Gold Moss Soap Grade: D+ / C- but has the potential for an A grade, under special circumstances, like dry skin or rash, or varients of the like.Gold Moss - is one of the most inert soaps I have ever used, which could have its benefits under certain circumstances. I would say this one might be a good soap for someone who doesn't want a post-shower powerful aroma or a soap that causes any sort of itchiness from residue, per se. This struck me as a curious soap that would not stimulate inflammation, for instance. But Alas, I did not feel clean after using the Gold Moss, but I think it might have value for people with supersensitive skin. I give this one between 2 or 3.5 stars out of five stars, If I had skin inflammation issues I would probably give this soap 4 or 5 stars. I just did not connect with this soap at this time. It was like bathing with a bar of nothing.Citrus maybe a B- grade.Citrus -- between 3 and 4 out of 5 stars, nice faint citrusy perfume,, but not overpowering, this soap is nothing to write home about, but I felt clean from it. I like this soap more than the gold moss.Recommendations for Dr. Squatch:Please make a coal tar soap and shampoo for people with eczema or psoriasis and other derma related medical conditions, I think legally you can go loosely up to 3% to 5% without a prescription. Please investigate. Because I believe it's a great soap to have in the winter season, when peoples' skin is more likely to be dry, and scalp a touch flakey. Some other completely different versions, or other styles that might be a hit, please also consider a unique purple lavender variation and a lime-mint.Final conclusion: Thank you for not being overly perfumy. The Pine tar soap has magical-like properties to it and is a luxurious epicurean experience in the rainhead shower. It gets my highest marks. The Citrus soap is descent, I might consider purchasing more of these in the future but in lower volume than the pinetar. The Gold Moss, I won't be purchasing again-however, I would recommend it to people with hypersensitive skin to see what they think, I would like to read their opinions on it.I'm excited and look forward to trying your other soaps and products. So far I give the Dr. Squatch brand a thumbs up. I got a real giggle from your product commercials too, nice touch.

I'm very pleased with this soap. I bought it blind based on the reviews and description. The fragrance is nice and complex; woody, spicy, and warm. It is also very potent, so don't get this if you're sensitive to or don't like potent fragrances. When it's still new you will be able to smell the soap in the bathroom, and even outside the bathroom if the door is open. The scent also lingers well on the skin. That being said the fragrance is pleasant, masculine, and doesn't become cloying or sickly.The lather is decent, not the best, but good. Doesn't dry my skin, but also doesn't really moisturize or condition either. Lifespan is about average for a bar of soap. The bar is big, so it's going to last a while.Overall very pleased with this soap. One of the best fragrances I've smelled in a bar soap, and certainly one of the most potent. Cleans well, and doesn't damage my skin.
