This is a fantastic book. I originally bought it for my 8 month old but theres so many less common animals that my older child who is six also loves it. I love how its separated into continents too! Nice thick board book that is suitable for babies but its content is good enough that it woukd last until the toddler years. There are no descriptions of the animals but theres no reason why you couldnt look up the animal and learb more using the internet or other books with an older child.

My 16 months old daughter absolutely loves this book. She's now learning how to talk, and she loves pointing at the pictures and learning how to say the name of so many animals. The pictures are very cute and perfect for her age.I would give 5 starts, but my book was damaged, so I'm taking one star off. It seemed like it was wet, and most pages were stuck to each other, so the book right now is pretty bent.I would still recommend it to anyone with kids, specially the little ones who love animals! :-)
