Is this stable? Have you had this tip over when using it?

It's relatively stale and stable (fairly heavy). But, since the curved connection plate between the upright column and the front leg is mounted laterally, using bolts, there is a tendency for the entire handlebar and column to jiggle slightly, left/right. You can only tighten the connection plate so much; a quick solution would be to insert a small, flat metal washer in between the curved mounting plate and base leg. Don't add the washer(s) to the bolt itself but as a spacer in between the mounting plate and base. This will close any gap and, hopefully, solve the remaining "play" between the parts.
