Quite effective
As a long-time user of snap-traps and glue boards, I was curious as to the design of this one. I was not disappointed. I have been battling a very smart rat for two weeks. It escaped my traditional Victor snap-traps and even broke loose from a glue board, sans a fair amount of fur and part of its tail. No doubt pissed off as well. The first night I set one of these glue traps out, I snagged the beast. It was a hog. The duel-board design forms something of a sticky clamp, specifically when set against a wall. The rat gets stuck on the board, and then the second board folds over it, forming a pita pocket-like trap. A rat pita pocket! Gross, I know, but there you go.

Brutally effective
If you are thinking of using glue board traps for mice or other rodents as a humane alternative please reconsider. I used this product on some deer mice that were getting into the cat food at night (yes I know, my cat isn’t very talented or motivated) and I happened to check the trap while the mouse was still alive struggling and I have to say the scene was nightmarish. The glue literally soaks into their fur as they struggle and become more and more stuck. WARNING: The following description of what I found last night at 2 am is disturbing! The animal had nearly torn its own ear off and soiled itself with blood everywhere. One of its eye balls was half glued to the board and more than half out of socket. At this point I had no choice but to put him in a bucket of water to end it. I imagine it takes many hours for them to die on their own. So, 1 star for overall experience but 5 stars for brutal effectiveness, you could probably catch a whole pile of mice on one board. Much better I think to have a lower success rate with the old timey spring and board type traps that kill quickly. I however will be getting some non kill catch traps and setting the mice free in a field a few miles away.

Problem solved!
Caught rat one with one trap on night one. Caught the other the next along with some bugs. Also good for catching flies and other random bugs if left on a counter (like after a cookout where the door is opened and closed all day). Easy to clean, just fold and toss. I will say the little suckers weren't completely dead so if you have a soft heart, maybe not your kind of trap.

They did work...
It caught mice... so it did work. I put one out with PB 2 sprinkled in the middle and the next morning there was an unwelcome guest stuck in the middle. I don’t know why I would rate it “easy to clean” since they are one time use only. I noticed a week later that the newly clean and disinfected drawer had poo in it again so I set out another trap. It took a bit longer but 3 days later and the next culprit was caught. I will say that I’m not sure how humane these are but yes, they catch mice.

Haven’t caught a mouse yet, but we’re patiently hopeful!
We have a mouse in the house, apparently after it was spotted, but the only things these things have caught so far is a few small bugs, a lizard . . . and, our dog! We heard a terrible yelping & rushed to find our panicked little Chiweenie stuck to one of these pads, despite the fact that we had pushed them far beneath the dresser & bureau! It took an immediate warm bath to free up her paws, lower part of her belly & nose - so yes, they are extremely sticky . . . but still no mouse!

Great!
Very good. It has everything you need to get the rat or mouse. I have bought it many times. If it is not good, I won't buy it again and again.

Easy to use!
Was doubtful if I was able to capture Mickey, but he was caught the same night I used these!
