K9 Select HMR Lignans for Dogs - Enhancer for Overall Wellness, Immune Suppor...

We paired the HMR Lignans 20mg with a melatonin chew, and high quality weight management food for our 12 year old female Catahoula who was newly diagnosed with Cushing’s. We had reservations about going the pharmaceutical route when both options essentially did the same thing with the same prediction of life expectancy. We started the melatonin a few days before the lignans arrived and that alone was just ok. It helped with her restlessness mostly. Adding the lignans was a GAME CHANGER for her symptoms! I give the supplements about an hour before we go to bed and THE VERY FIRST NIGHT she slept through the night with no accidents for the first time in about 2 months. I missed it one night and she had me back up within 2 hours of going to bed. We’re also waking up to find she hasn’t licked her water dish dry during the night since starting this combo. Panting has reduced but we’re not seeing a change in the potbelly yet. We’ve only had her on the HMR lignans for less than two weeks so I can’t say what this will look like for the long term. What I can say is that in the case of our girl the symptom management of her Cushing’s diagnosis was IMMEDIATE once we started it.

Prior to the supplement, she would pant excessively, even when resting, which was quite concerning and not to mention annoying for both of us. Now, she seems more relaxed, and her breathing has become more normal, defiantly not cured but improved.

I cannot say that this truly didn't work for our furbaby, but she definitely does not like the flavor. I have not noticed an improvement in Skyes symptoms. I switched to this product after using Milk Thistle with the addition of 5mg Melatonon to treat her Canine Cushings. I actually saw a difference while using Thistle. I've since gone back to using it. It definitely helped in alleviating her symptoms. I hope this review was helpful.

Highly recommend these VS the harsh Vetoryl for Cushing’s the vet put my girl on. I said absolutely not-as she could’ve gone into Addison’s crisis-NO. We went all holistic and will never look back! They work super well, my girl has done wonderful on them. Always go with the natural route if you can! So much better for the body! Also the stopped using Vetoryl for humans years ago as it was killing people so now they give them to our dogs?? I think NOT!

I read this would be a natural way for my dog with cushings disease but after several months of taking it she started having diarrhea with blood in it so we stopped not knowing for sure if this was the cause due to her being 11 yrs old. Waited till the diarrhea stopped and decided to test it, gave her the recommended dose for her weight and she had diarrhea again. Immediately stopped giving it to her. It might not be this because she took it for a couple months before and was fine but over time not so much. I just thought I’d tell my experience with it.

This along with Melatonin and a low fat diet has really helped as far as Cushing disease. His blood work doesn’t show the disease but his symptoms do. He is a 7 yr old Yorkie

Really love this product for my Dog who has Cushing's disease, however, I have made two recent orders and both times I received Melatonin instead of K9 Select HMR Lignans 20 mg Peanut Butter Chewable. I thought the first time was just a mistake and I actually needed Melatonin as well so I just reordered. Received the same Melatonin on the second order as well.
