Concise Review ::: Get it - You Will Thank Yourself!
If you're looking to organize the clutter behind your TV or office table, or have an entertainment system with multiple components with wires running all over the place I would highly recommend this little box of perfection. You can use conduits or clean wire ties to organize the mass of audio and power cables, but the surge protector is going to need a home. PROS: - Available in different sized to fit any need - Sturdy construction and solid feel - Looks and feels like a quality product making it less obtrusive in open areas - Has enough room to house the surge protector and extra lengths of cord - No clutter and cleaning in the area is now incredibly easy. TIP: - Use this box with a wire sleeve to consolidate your cables into a neat bundle No more dust balls hanging on my cords or lifting up the entire surge protector to clean the area. CONS: - Not necessarily a con but pricing is a bit high for a plastic box, but for the clean and organized look I get behind my TV I do not regret the purchase at all. Planning to pick up a second one for the other side of my system to clean up another fully loaded surge protector.

A magical box that grants wishes. Okay, maybe not that last part.
They want *how* much money for a plastic box? Seriously? Yeah, that's what I thought too. A shame, really, because while I refused to give in to the ransom demands, the rat's nest of wires behind my entertainment center grew ever larger. I tied the individual cables together with Velcro ties, labeled and color-coded them with cable tagging systems, and told myself they were nice, neat, and organized. As long as nobody looked behind them, that is. Back there, it looked like the Gordian knot of electronics. The tipping point was when I finally got a robot vacuum cleaner, and I knew I could never let it into the media room, lest it eat the cable ball of twine. Or, perhaps, be eaten by the twine. It was pretty large by then. I started small, by ordering a couple of smaller boxes from a different company. Cable Management Box Organizer by DMoose - Wooden Style - Hides Power Strips, Surge Protectors & Cords. Large Size for Entertainment Center, Home Office, Computers - Kids & Pet Friendly I put it in the other room, where the cable problem was much smaller. Best to walk before running. They worked really well in there, especially since the cover was made to look like wood, and there are wood floors in that room. Also, the top is deliberately bowed to facilitate putting something on top of it, and I needed to do that because the wireless receiver for my subwoofer was too large to fit in the box with the cables. A few zip ties later, along with a nifty zip-up black neoprene tube DigitGear 4 x Neoprene Cable Management Zipper Sleeve Organizer, Black , and I was feeling pretty smug. I knew the ever-growing mass in the other room was going to need something a bit sturdier, so I bit the bullet and ordered the black one from Bluelounge. When it came, I knew I had the solution. In the end, I used the black one in the back of the room and bought two sage green ones for either side of the entertainment center. I used two power strips Belkin BE112230-08 12-Outlet Power Strip Surge Protector , one in each box. I unraveled the knot, tied up each cable to shorten it, and ran them to the nearest box. And with that, the insurmountable problem was solved. I should note that at the time of this writing, both the new sage green and midnight blue Bluelounge boxes have incorrect dimensions. The actual sizes for the two new colors are identical to the older black and white large boxes. I took a picture of one of the sage green ones next to a black one, and you can clearly see they are identical other than the color. My media room has sea glass green walls, so the sage green boxes look fantastic in there. My bedroom is azure blue, so the midnight blue one went in that room. The black ones went in less visible places where I wanted them to stay that way. If there is a negative to this sturdy, attractive, well-designed box with a nicely tight-fitting lid, it is this. After getting one and seeing what it does to your wiring nightmare, you will no longer think the price is excessive. On the contrary, you will find yourself gleefully ordering many more of them to solve the problem in every room, not just that one where we can't let the vacuum into. Or company, unless they really like us. If you are having trouble picking colors, the midnight blue one is almost black and will work well in rooms that have predominately cooler colors without red tones like teal, cold grays, and blues. The sage green is close to a grass-stained white. It will work well with warmer colors like browns, taupes, reds, and greens. If you are putting it in a darkened area, the matte black is a good choice. I'd save the white one for areas that already have a lot of white. Very highly recommended. Sean Logue, 2017

Great for hiding chord clutter
There is only one problem with the blue lounge concept and that is they need a small, medium, and large with this being the medium. If a small ups could fit in one it would be great, but otherwise I can find no fault with this product and applaud them for their outside the box thinking - no pun intended. I have a rather complicated situation at the front of my den, between hdmi cables, speaker wires, UPS's, stereo components, media center pc, power supplies, and such and had two large concentrations of yuck. well i was able to eliminate these areas completely with 2 of these boxes and now my front wall looks sleek and svelte. It took a little time, but will so save on the dusting and everyone's fear of pulling something out if they run a vacuum up there. I have another charging center at a table and so there where many wires coming out of power supply and instead of looking like an exposed rat's nest it is totally neat and clean. And again it is easy to dust and care for. The power supplies i use are about as big as they make and fit well, but i have another couple of areas where i utilize small ups's for non-critical items and would love to have a little bit larger box maybe 3" wider to place the ups in. But again I have cleaned up the worst of my mess - and the wife is ecstatic. do yourself a favor and get a couple, i promise you need them.

Great Way to Cleanup Your Electrical Spaghetti
I’ve always been a huge fan of Bluelounge products. For awhile I’ve been wanting to purchase their cable management box for a long time for my den, but this is kind of a costly product for what it offers, which is simply hiding wires. However, I finally broke down and pick one up a few days ago. It came with basically no packaging which was a plus, just a bag and sleeve of cardboard holding the lid onto the body. To start getting my cables inside the box, I unhooked everything from my surge protector and then placed that in the box first. Then I added the items I wanted to have wires running out of the side at the lowest point first. As I have a Mi Box that sits in front of it and did not want the wire to come out high and then trail down low (see pictures). After I got the first thing in, I simply got everything else added and cables redone so the bulk of the cable was inside the box and just enough left the box to connect to the device, like TV or NAS. Then put the lid on top of it. Overall it was super easy to make it look nicer in just a few minutes and the box still has tons of room to spare to add additional devices. Right now I probably have 6 things plugged into an 8 port surge protector. Pros: - Easy to get your cables in - Has a nice design - Tons of rooms for your cables Cons: - Kind of expensive for a plastic box Overall I highly recommend this product if you want to make cables that are in plain sight look a little nicer.

Get rid of that spaghetti bowl!
What took me so long to clean up my hodgepodge of wires, cables, and cords? Aesthetics and safety are important to me, especially in my study, which is also the library, piano room, and yoga room. I desire a calm ambiance, surrounded by my 2000 books. However, until I bought this BlueLounge box, the floor between my desk and pedestal looked like the center of the "Dallas mixmaster" of interstates, with prominent dust bunnies collecting on this untidy collection of cables. Now, it is clean, orderly, and unobtrusive. The box is plain, rectangular, and deep, with a matte finish (I have the black one), made from fire-retardant plastic. If you are using a precarious device to store your cables, like a shoebox, it is a dangerous fire hazard; it is well worth the money to protect your home from turning into a fireball. Dimensions are 398 mm/15.6 in long, 154 mm/6 in wide, and 134 mm/5.3 inches deep, with rubber feet to prevent it from slipping. There's plenty of storage space--looks about the size of a shoebox. I placed a large 12-outlet surge protector in the BlueLounge box without needing to unplug anything. I could have easily fit a second one in there, also. The outlets or openings on each end of the box are about 3.5 inches long and ¾ inch wide, plenty of room for the mass of cables. I tucked the box on the bottom shelf of my pedestal, and voila! From helter-skelter to harmony, all in a few minutes. It's like a 3-minute manager for just 25 bucks.

Wire chaos SOLVED!
This simple product helped solved my wire chaos! My workstation is now free of wires and no more not being able to easily back out of my desk from the rollers on my chair getting caught up in the wires. The before and after pics speak for themselves. As a first step to this project, I swapped my old printer for a wireless printer (this cut down about 4 wires). I paired this box with a Belkin 8-Outlet Surge Protector with 6-Foot Cord (BV108200-06) not necessarily because I needed a new surge protector, but because I'm so anal that I wanted a protector with a gray cord to better go with the box. The box holds a lot, too, as you can see from my last pic. Additionally, I paired white split tubing Legrand CM62 Wiremold Cord Mate II Flex to bundle the 3 wires coming off my desk (you can also buy the same product for about $5 by walking into your local Home Depot. Lowe's has similar tubing in grey). Tip: Shove the end of a broomstick through the tubing for a few days to make the coiling relax and less wonky and easier to work with. Bottom line, although a bit expensive for a plastic box, totally worth it to not be horrified by this area of my home office anymore!

After putting together 7 of these, they are amazing!
These have been life changing! I have them all over the house and they make everything look so much better. If you have pets, these are great because they prevent your power strips from collecting dust and fur balls. I was able to fit a large surge protector inside with no problem. I’ve checked to see if they get hot inside and they’re totally fine. The openings on the sides offer adequate ventilation. I did not like the flimsy twist ties that came with the unit, for bundling cords. I ended up using other twist ties that had been part of the packaging for my surge protectors. One of my favorite things about this cable box is the nonslip bottom. It really helps you to align it where you want it to be and not have to worry about the cords pulling it in another direction. I’ve put 7 of these together in my house, both the white and black colors. If they will be near light colored decor, get the white. Otherwise, the black ones are nice and inconspicuous. I even used one on a shelf of a room divider that was open on both sides. It did wonders to reduce the visual impact of all of the cords for a stereo system that had 5 different components that each had their own power supplies. You won’t regret buying it!

Great solution for keeping cords and power strips contained and away from toddler
I was sick and tired of my toddler turning off the power strips next to my desk because he thought the buttons were cool. Explaining that he was likely damaging my external hard drive didn't seem to impress him. My husband created a homemade cardboard-box-and-duct-tape solution that worked for a few days, until said toddler destroyed that. Enter the CableBox. I bought two of these (in black) and set my power strips and chargers inside. So far, the toddler hasn't figured out how to open the top, which is great, and my once-upon-a-time-rat's-nest of cords and power strips is now hidden and sleek and organized. The boxes are made of sturdy stuff and big enough to hold a large power strip with adapters plugged in. I stacked them on the floor and now all the buttons and adapters are hidden. The power strip plugs go out the back side of the CableBox and behind a bookcase to the wall outlet, and there's just one group of cords snaking out the front of the bottom box and around the side of my desk. I wrapped the cords together into one snake with velcro cord wraps, and voila! (The top CableBox is hiding camera battery chargers, plugged in and ready to go whenever I need them, with plenty of space for more things to be plugged in.) I was going to deduct one star for price, but when I thought about the fact that I paid about $25 for each of these, and that I'm considering buying another for upstairs, I decided that I was so happy with this purchase and the solution it has provided, that I'm going to give it 5 stars. So far, these CableBoxes are doing exactly what they should. Excellent solution for my family.

Highly recommend!
I don't typically write reviews for Amazon items but I felt like this one was worth it. Originally bought two of the larger size and am super impressed with how much it can hold. Not only was the second one not needed but there's still a space for more cables (and that's saying a lot because our rat's nest of cables was ungodly). The boxes are also sturdy unlike competitor products where you'll pay less for a flimsy box and the lid pops off. Worth every penny IMO!

Excellent quality and size is much larger and enough for ...
Excellent quality and size is much larger and enough for big adapters and broad two row multi sockets. I use this undet my workstation table to pack chargers , adapters and all extra cables and a big Belkin multi socket with two rows. It still leaves space for those pin which are long and push out laterally.

Great cable management box
Sturdy with a good design and just the right size for organising the cables under our study desk. Lid is easy to remove for changing configuration of cables but also stays in place, even if cables are pulled.
