Bob

When I read this book it made me think of all the possibilities Bob could be which is why I think it is a great children’s book because it can sharpen your child’s brain.

it is almost better thanMrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMHI think that you should definitely read this book. It is so heartfelt and I love it.

I bought this book when it first came out. I loved it so much I loaned it to a teacher. Never got it back. So a few years layer, I bought a new one. It's for me. I am an adult. I love this wonderful, innocent story. Please read it!

This is a fun and interesting book to read! We read it in my gr 3 class, and all the kids really enjoyed it, regardless of their reading ability. It features a little magic and takes place in Australia, with the main character visiting from America so things are well explained.

Today I read BOB, a truly delightful story by Wendy Mass and Rebecca Stead. I loved the back-and-forth narration between Livy and the mysterious Bob, who both have delightful voices and personalities. This was a gentle, sweet story, but I was also compelled to keep reading. I had to know the mystery of Bob’s origin!There are just enough details to give the reader a mental image, and to keep younger readers engaged, which also allows readers to draw some conclusions on their own as the story draws to its climax, and the solution to the mystery. Clues are doled out gradually, and the pace is very satisfying. While I think this book would be enjoyed at many levels, I do think 3rd-5th graders would probably appreciate it most. I can see it as a fun readaloud, a Book Club choice, and well-loved as an independent read. It is a unique story that I just adored, and can’t wait to share with readers!

So many good reviews and recommendations for this book. My son and I read this together and struggled to get into it. It took a long time to get to the point where you understood what was going on. It was an interesting story like nothing we have read, but it was one we felt like we had to finish only because we started it. Some of the chapters were from characters perspective and if you put the book down for the night you had to keep going back to see who was talking. It was fine, but maybe not for us.

I got this book for my 5th grade grandchild and read it myself first. I was drawn into the story from the first page. The story has a mystery that knocks at the back door of your mind all through the book. Finally the question is answered. Then you find that you have been locked inside a fairy tale and didn't know it! I was happy for my grandchild to read this story and she loved it too.

I found this on a best books of 2018 list on goodreads and was intrigued by the description and the artwork. My 7yr old son and I are reading it together and he loves the way its written and is excited to find out more about Bob. The art work is even better then expected, and story is just detailed enough for the recommended age group. My son reads at an M-O and this is about that level, though I find the chapters a bit long for out loud reading for him so we alternate a bit. I highly recommend this book.

I chose a book myself for the first time because I never know what to read.And this book was a great choice it was interesting, we saw them bond.I’m not gonna spoil anything but it’s very sad and happy 😊 at the end and love 💕 it .

My children loved this book. So magical and a great read. They are aged 11 and 8 so appealed to both of them.

Call me crazy but this kids book is an absolute favorite of mine, and I’m not a kid! So, who is it for? —Anyone who likes amusing, adorable, inspiring stories. Possibly the cutest character ever written is Bob!
