Fantastic pet ID tags
We originally ordered a pair of these LuckyPet Slide-On Pet ID Tags for our dog's collar since she was constantly licking the handing ID tags we had to the point where they were unreadable AND we are fairly sure that that much metal is not good for her. These tags sit flush with her collar, and therefore are not available for her tongue! These are very well made, have an excellent finish on them, and are very easy to read. When we got rid of our landline and decided to go entirely with our cell phones, we had to order a new tag with the new phone numbers on it, and we ordered from this company again - which is testament to just how highly we think of this company and their products. Another positive about this tag is that, unlike those which hang loosely down via an S clip, which may pull apart and loose the tag, these tags are, by virtue of their style, impossible to fall off and be lost. The whole purpose of a tag is to be able to reunite with your pet should he/she get loose, and the last thing you want is for them to be running loose, get their tag snagged on something and pull off. How many pets are destroyed each year because they don't have a tag on them? (Answer: Any number is too many!) A few VERY important things to note. First, the collar MUST NOT HAVE A QUICK CONNECTOR as you need a connector-free end to feed through the tag (see photo). Second, the thicker the collar the more difficult it will be to feed the tag along the collar. If the collar is more than 7/32" thick, it will not fit through the tag openings. Likewise, collars that are more than 7/8" wide will be difficult, if not impossible, to feed through the tag openings. And as you can see from the photo, the collar must be fed through the tag twice! Since most of the collars available these days have the quick-connect "pinch" connectors, if you decide to go with this tag style, you will most likely need to purchase a new collar as well. Don't be cheap - after all, your pet IS a member of your family so don't hesitate to spend a few more bucks on 'em!

Tried, True, and Trusted for All 8 of My Pets!
I’ve used these LuckyPet Slide-On ID Tags for all four of my dogs and all four of my cats, and they are hands-down the best tags out there. I’ve ordered both the medium open end and large open end sizes to fit a variety of collars, and they’ve all worked perfectly. The slide-on design is a game-changer—no jingling, no risk of the tag falling off, and nothing sharp or dangling to irritate the pet. They stay snug on the collar and look neat and professional. I love that there are 5 lines of engraving—plenty of room for my pet’s name, my name, two phone numbers, and our full address. The engraving is sharp and deeply etched, so even after lots of outdoor adventures and roughhousing, the info is still crystal clear. ✅ Durable and noiseless ✅ Perfect fit on multiple collar widths ✅ Great for both dogs and cats ✅ Enough space for all essential contact info ✅ Long-lasting and reliable These tags have given me peace of mind for years. Whether it’s a cat who loves to roam or a dog who slips out the gate, I know they’re covered. Can’t recommend these enough!

The perfect solution to my two tags of trouble!
I had tried a few different types of i.d. tags for my cat but the one thing they all had in common was the damage they would sustain from daily wear in a short amount of time. They would dip into his wet food whenever he ate (clanging against the bowl all the while) and I was constantly cleaning them off. I had two metal tags on his collar, one for i.d. and one with his microchip information, and they were starting to wear each other out. Ever since my lil' indoor only buddy managed to get out and was gone for 23 very long hours, I wanted to ensure there was every chance of him being returned safely to me so I want both tags on him at all times. Plus, they seemed to bother him while he was playing so I wanted to find something less intrusive. I happened to see these slide on Lucky Pet i.d. tags and I was intrigued by the idea so I ordered one. I must say that I'm very impressed. I thought fitting five lines of info on a tag that attaches to the collar instead of hang from it would be difficult to read despite the many reviews saying otherwise. They weren't wrong! It's crisp, clear and you can read the engraving on it with absolutely no problem. It fits the collar perfectly but I loosened it just a bit to compensate for the bit of collar the tag uses up when it's attached. It stays on very securely and I'm positive it will not fall off. Given how much Bob loves to play, if it hasn't fallen off by now, it never will! lol The Lucky Pet slide on i.d. tag ended up being the perfect solution. They customer service is excellent as well. I had ordered another tag and sent an email requesting a change. They replied withing 24 hours and were more than willing to assist me with my request. I ended up keeping things as they were but I was impressed with them nonetheless! I can honestly say, I can't think of any negatives with my purchase. I've included a shot of the old i.d. tag compared to the Lucky Pet slide on tag. It only allowed four lines of text as opposed to the five with the Lucky Pet tag and they were pretty close in price. I don't know if they show but there are already some knicks and chips on the old tag. I thought the bold engavering made my phone # difficult to read and, like I said, I want to make sure to do everything to make sure my lil' pal is returned to me safely ASAP if he ever gets away from home again!

I wish I'd known about this sooner
My cat has always disliked his dangling tag, particularly when he goes to eat or drink water. Unfortunately, I didn't realize there was another option (short of not wearing a tag, which I am not comfortable with). This tag is silent and doesn't get in his way (or whack the bowl) when he eats. The lettering is easy to read-- engraved into the material and finished with a black fill color. The tag appears to be stainless steel. The black fill seems like it will not scrape off easily, since the black fill is below the tag's outermost surface. The material feels very strong. Item arrived before the start of the estimated delivery date. I was concerned initially that the curvature of the tag might cause pressure points or something but my cat seems completely unbothered (I did loosen the collar slightly to account for the ends of the tag). I had to wrestle with my cat's collar to get the tag on (probably because it's getting frayed) but it did go on and it doesn't seem like it will come off unless I set out to take it off. Bottom line: I'm happy, cat's happy. Well worth the money. Wish I'd made this change ages ago. I definitely recommend.

Just What We Needed!
My dog has a light chasing problem (do NOT play w a laser w your dog - it will cost A LOT for a behavioralist!) and she gets distracted and upset if she wears a tag that dangles when it flashes in the sun against the wall or floor. This slide on tag is PERFECT for her issue and no jangling noise anymore either. It slipped on easily to a 1" single ply nylon buckle collar and is VERY sturdy. I was so happy with it. I only gave it 4 stars bc I wish it was easier to read but I find that a lot of tag engraving is not quite black and only shows up in certain light. I think that's a general engraving issue all over though but this is a gorgeous, sturdy tag that stays on the back of her neck and solved a big problem for us. Don't hesitate bc it's a great tag.

Looks great… Still legible a year and one dirty, playful dog later
It quite a bit my dog was a master at having the standard automated machine tags break off. I’m still finding them in the yard. I do have one of those thick 1 inch Coastal-type collars, and the slide on style fit with no problem at all. It’s a little tight of a fit. You just have to man up and use your muscles. It’s not that bad. I have not cleaned the tag in over a year although I do wash my dog, and it is still very much legible. No more lost tags.

Doesn’t Fit
I ordered a closed 1 inch tag - customise now button wasn’t available to customise - and when it did arrive it doesn’t fit a standard 1 inch collar - collars now have a thicker more comfortable lining which cannot fit the narrow eye of the tag and it even spoilt my leather collar at the edges Inner edges are not polished well Overall quality is also not so good Font used is bad
