Stage Kiss

Where is the line between acting and real life? This play is about an actor and actress who were lovers in the past and they mirror the play they are performing in.Meeting after many years and being thrown together on stage with romantic kisses thrown in, blurs the line for these two old lovers.I am a great fan of the work of Sarah Ruhl and this play is another great example of her work.

Sarah Ruhl is an incredible writer with a very unique style. I bought this after being in her translation/adaptation of Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov and reading Eurydice. Anything she writes is absolutely worth the read for contemporary and traditional play fans alike!

A funny and well written play. I only didn't give five stars because I don't find it as meaningful as her other plays are.

Ruhl writes genuine people who are also funny. It's also a comic and honest take on the strange world of creating intimacy on stage.
