What is the minimum input voltage range (i.e. 20v-30vvdc) to maintain 120vac output at full load?

About 22 volts DC minimum. Much depends on your demand (load) and battery bank size. With several batteries the amp-hour availability is higher.

In description it states it has a 15amp us type outlet. Yet it is a 2000w inverter which is 18 amp. Am I missing something ?

It has a 15 amp type outlet plug which is different than the 20 amp plug you see sometimes. It probably will put out 18 amps though it is rated for 15.

Some answers say this inverter wont charge batteries but batteries will be charged from panels through controller. right?

Yes, our inverter is off grid inverter , can not charge the battery , need to use solar charge controller if you want to use solar panels to charge the battery bank . And our inverter can only convert the dc voltage of the battery bank to ac voltage to use with home appliances .

I wanted to know, if my power goes off will this inverter kick in automatically? Or will I have to manually turn it on?

You will not only need to manually turn it on, you will also need to unplug the items from the "power" than went off, and plug them into this unit instead.
