Update 10/02/21:As of now, the suction stickiness no longer supports the weight of my phone. I would have kept the rating at 5 stars if it held up till December 2021 (for 2 years).Pros:Easy to set up. Extra ventilation mount. Couldn't really use it because the hook couldn't reach the back of the ventilation fins. Suction is pretty strong despite the hot summer and cold winter (I placed mine on the dash and not on the windshield). Edit: the suction held for 4 months until it got loose. Wetting the suction actually just like the instructions said made it stick again 👍Cons:I had to occasionally re-tighten the ball-and-socket joint. Need to use a thin case otherwise the holder cannot hold the phone.Overall:I depended my review on how strong the suction is and the sturdiness of the ball-and-socket joint, and the car-phone holder held up to my expectations.

Picked this phone holder up since I don't like the magnetic mounts (interferes with wireless charging.) Sunction power was pretty good even on the not smooth dash of my 2012 VW Passat. It did let go one time after being parked in the sun all day but hasn't let go since. Install is super easy, pick a flat spot and flip the lever down on the auction cup. After that, adjust the arms to the position you want for reach. These are a little fiddly to get tight, phone drooped one time when I hadn't gotten the locking arm tight all the way. Phone holder also comes with a pretty nice vent mount as well which is nice if needed.Overall pretty great and for under $15 not much to complain about. If I get 6 months to a year out of I'll be happy.

At this price, I wanted to have high hopes but my expectations were a bit low in thinking that I could find something that would stay stuck to my dash long term for so cheap. I bought it to go on a 13 hr road trip. For those 26 hrs (roundtrip), it only fell once after about 6 hrs and I think it only fell because I had not tightened the part that the phone sits on good enough to the arm which made it wobble more as I was driving so the whole thing fell off the dash. So I figured it was the suction and I figured from them on I would have to keep resticking it and return it after my trip. I was wrong. After I tightened everything up, it never fell again. I drive a 10 year old car that is low to the ground so it's not a smooth ride and I have a rough-textured dashboard. So I highly recommend this product.

I read way too many reviews before I bought this. I do like it but it has one flaw -- Sometimes the suction loses its power (I suspect when it gets too hot in the parked car) and I have to reinstall it (about every 2 weeks). It didn't come with good instructions for assembling and took me a few minutes to figure out how the pieces fit together. But once put together it stays assembled. Wish the suction was a little stronger but so far it's not annoying enough to replace. Sometimes I just come back to find it has fallen off the dash and needs to be re-suctioned on. Works well with an iphone 7 plus and also easily adjustable for other size phones when others drive my car.

Holder lasted about a year. Was working very well until I moved to a state with close to zero degree weather. The interior gears froze, so when I tried to lock my phone into place, it broke. So now one side doesn't lock at all. Overall good product for the price, just be mindful of <15 degree weather. Sticky base came off only once in the summer, and that was due to a very hot car, other than that it kept my S20 with its otterbox very stable.

I bought this holder because it had different ways to mount it in your car. I had a couple with the suction only and the suction failed repeatedly! I use the vent system and I love it! I am not a big a/c person so having it slightly blocked doesn’t bother me. My husband uses the suction in his car. We have only had them for a month, but so far they are working great!I have a iPhone 6 Plus and finding one to fit was difficult. This holder fits it! I don’t have to take the cover off or the sock it on the back. I recommend this product.

I bought this phone mount about 6 months ago, and just couldn't get it to consistently stick onto my dash. It would initially hold for a little while, then it would fall off the dash. I finally replaced it with a different one and threw it in my back seat. After a few months, I tried it again - no luck. I like the holder itself, and the quality of the construction. The phone release works very well. I would give it FIVE stars if it would just STICK to my dash. And yes, I've tried it in multiple cars - same result.
