Excellent player
Excellent player, easy to set up and useful USB support for movie playback. 4k visuals look great. Remote quality questionable and when I first set it up the tray was opening and closing and wouldn’t respond (remote buttons can get stuck down!!) Easy to plug in and get going and easy to use , great value and better than having to remove discs from my Ps5!

A good buy!
This player is precisely what I have been looking for... The only "drawback" is the lack of Wifi and streaming services. It doesn't have that at all - which I knew before buying, but it was no listed amongst the information here. It can do 60FPS and the quality is precisely what I expected. The Disc loading tray is a little noisy, which I found concerning; however, according to information available, it is not a fault that's potentially damaging. It does power off if you do not play a movie after around 15 minutes or so... What I found particularly good was that my Samsung TV remote worked perfectly with it. So, playing, pausing, rewinding etc can all be done with the remote - Samsung that is. Although, I think it would be the same for any other TV. The Upscale is fantastic, too. Watching DVDs is almost as good as watching the Blu-Ray. It may be my TV; however, I believe it's a combination of the two and that is a great combination. All in all, good value for money.

Small player packs a punch
After some delivery shenanigans, I took possession of this player recently. After opening the box, I was shocked to see just how compact the unit is compared to my old original Samsung Blu-ray player from 2010. Obviously with technology having progressed, items shrink, so there is no need for the player to be as big as the players of yesteryear. I updated the firmware via USB without issue and so far, it's played my 1080p disks just fine. The unit isn't loud enough to be noticed, even when the volume of my theatre setup is quite low. The included remote is small, but gets the job done well enough in my eyes. HDMI CEC control doesn't quite appear to be working right, but with my mix of receiver, tv and player, I'm not all that surprised. HDMI CEC works a lot better when all the items are from the same manufacturer really and is hit and miss with other manufacturers, despite supposedly being designed to reduce the number of remotes around. I don't have any 4k disks just yet, but once I get my 4k TV in a short while, I will start adding 4k disks to my collection. As such, I can't comment on that feature right now. I will say, I do miss the front status panel that just about every other player has. I get that Panasonic probably did that to save money, but it does make the player look extremely basic - as is the fact that there is only a power and open/close button on the device. Yay for the Post Modern future? Overall, I am happy with my purchase and with the decline of optical media players out there, I don't think you can go wrong with this unit. It's the last hurrah of a dying breed sadly, so let's enjoy it while we can.

Pleased but family did not notice the upgrade to 4K
We have a vast blu ray collection and a growing digital content library at Prime. And don’t mind to invest in sound and vision quality given the enormous amount of joy and excitement provided movies and series to my family. Though I was never sure about upgrading to 4K, as our blu rays already look crisp, vibrant and with strong contrast on our high end LG screen. And I expected the improvement to be marginal that the the rest fo the family wouldn’t notice. However our integrated home theatre blu ray player broke down. So I decided to invest in a proper 4K player, one with the latest features like HDR10+ and Dolby Vision and Hybrid Log-Gamma compatibility - that sounds impressive but I really don’t know what it exactly relates to. And frankly didn’t want to bother. The main reason was to be up-to date with the technology. As s such I wasn’t looking to buy the cheapest 4K player available. Maybe importantly this one is able to play 3D - we have a lot of 3D movies that we love to see during family movie evenings. The installation was fairly easy, though it required an additional ethernet cable for system updates and no HDMI cable was included. I’ve connected it directly to the Oled TV as our hometheatre is HD but doesn’t pipe-through 4K. I must say I’m quite pleased with the purchase. The visuals as stunning, detailed.. and probably more immersive that before. Although as expected, the rest of the family doesn’t notice the difference. Somewhat to my relief there were no lip sync issues. Pro’s + Software and capabilities can be updated + Straigthward menu and interface. + Excellent upscaling from not only blu rays but even old 1990’s dvd’s - Our universal tv remote only gave partial access to functionality. - No HDMI cable included - Out-sliding disk tray, that I always find sensitive to damage or errors - in particular with children frequently operating the system

Great player for the price.
For the price this has to be the one of the best 4k disc players around. It will decode Dolby Vision and HDR10+. It has no smart features. But if you're buying a 4k player you must already have a smart TV anyway. The remote seems rather cheaply made, and there isn't a WIFI function, you need to hard wire it to your router/modem, But maybe thats how they keep the price low. Fairly standard size for a disc player. The menus are pretty basic, but functional. Very easy to plug in and set up. I had to reorder it as the first one arrived with the packaging damaged and as a result the outer case of the player was damaged. Got a full refund and reordered it.

Awesome Blu Ray player, great value for money, shame about the remote control
Awesome blu ray player, everything about the system is great. Fantastic picture quality, terrific sound quality. Massive improvement over my previous Panasonic player. I think I now need to buy a bigger and better TV to make full use of its features. However as other customers have mentioned the remote control is rubbish, way too small and is very fiddly to use.

Broke after 30 minutes
Great picture and sound, easy to set up, BUT after just half an hour watching the first blu-ray disk, the screen went blank and the machine died. The red light came on, the try opened and closed, but it wouldn't play anything. Reading other reviews it seems I'm not the only one to have a machine that breaks in an extremely short time.
