You Will Read This Book (waves hand like a jedi)
Truly inspiring! Dan Baumann is human and feels what it means to be human when faced with impossible odds. Yet, through it all he remains faithful. I believe that it would be wise for every believer to read this book, and then read it to their kids. It should be barrowed from you by your freinds and other family members. It should even be discussed for study in a life group. I call it a wise thing to do, because we really have no idea if we will continue to have religious freedoms after the next 50 years or so. Sure, you may be thinking yeah right, sister, that's not possible! We live in a free country with the the best military factions. However, nothing ever is resolute or untemporary. Anything is possible. Remember the Titanic of 1912? We also have no idea when the 7 year tribulation will come or when the rapture will occur during that time. It could happen before or 3.5 years after the 7 years begin. If we can see how Baumann survived despite his fears by trusting God, then we would have a pretty good idea of what to expect should our freedoms ever be taken from us. This book would be encouraging. I would like to believe it to be a survival manual, but it is an autobiography story. Lol! Not trying to be misleading.

How is this not a movie yet?!
We all know how hard it is to work when you just want to know how the book ends. Thatโs me with this book. Actually, I know how it ends, Iโve had the pleasure to meet Dan in person and hear his heart towards people after this event happened in his life. Even after hearing some of the stories in person, I canโt stop turning the pages

Suspenseful. Chilling. Inspiring.
IMPRISONED IN IRAN is an amazing account of a believer's imprisonment and torture at the hands of Iran's government. It is clear, as Ronald Reagan said, that the government of Iran is not yet prepared to join the community of civilized nations. Holding innocent civilians without charges, denying basic human rights and subjecting them to solitary confinement and torture are earmarks of barbarians and thugs. What was Daniel Baumann's crime? Did he bomb or hurt someone? Plot to destroy buildings, or endanger civilians? No. He was simply a Christian who had been born in America.Yet, it is also clear that God loves them. These sons of Abraham also need to know the love and forgiveness and grace of God. The Word says that God's will is that none should perish but all come to the saving knowledge of Him through Christ. Daniel Baumann's testimony gives plain evidence to that.It should be noted that there are still cool heads and tender hearts in Iran. A sense of justice and fairness can still be found. I pray that the Lord continues to reach out to save those who are so desperately lost. Praise God that Daniel was returned safely to his family and his country. Thanks to Swiss authorities and those brave men and women who went above and beyond to save an innocent soul.

A wonderful true story
In the day and age of the "Me generation" this book stands out as a beacon for followers of Christ. Being touched with God's love for his fellow man, the author set out to spread the Gospel in a country known for its hostility toward Christians. His account of the terrible ordeal he survived is written in an easy to understand but suspenseful style which holds the reader's interest. The book honestly describes the gamut of the author's feelings during this faith testing time in his life. The supernatural occurrences such as hearing from God the exact time he would remain in prison, being given the strength to stay alive, and witnessing to Iranians in his prison and in court about the love of God for them are wonderful to read about. This book gives a greatly encouraging and instructive message to those who want to hear God's voice (My sheep hear my voice. I know them, and they follow me." John 10:27) and to have the strength and endurance to obey it. ("In this world you will have tribulation but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." John 16:33.)

Danโs story is inspiring. He sought to serve God and God was faithful to Dan, protecting him in prison and using him for His sovereign purposes.

Must read.
Cell 58 is the true story of Dan Baumann and his friend's experience in Iran. It's a wonderful reminder that when God calls you do to something, and works everything out perfectly for you, it still may not end like you're expecting...but the ultimate outcome is His Glory and His Plan - and He is always with you and in control. It's a quick read. It's fascinating, intriguing and chilling.
