Dorman 917-760 Engine Crankshaft Position Sensor

Car was having all kinds of issues easy install if your mechanical at all took me maybe 10 mins most of that was grabbin tools and gettin under the car you pull the start 2 bolts slide it out of the way one bolt removes the sensor change it then replace that and the starter and bolts great product was having trouble with starts idles all that instantly started up zero issues great value for the money hf the price of the local parts store exact same name brand and packaging great value

This was a perfect fit for my 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ. I had a misfire on #6. I bought this and replaced my old one this new one. Very happy with this purchase. Misfi6xode was cleared and my truck started to run better. Was an easy install. Great price for my purchase. The quality is great. No complaints.

I don’t normally write reviews, but my vehicle had what I thought was an interesting issue and this turned out to be the problem. I have a 2013 Chevrolet Suburban LT with a 5.3 L. I keep it well maintained and it has 119,000 miles. While driving on the interstate recently, it began to shutter significantly and the gauges went crazy. The traction control light and the stabilitrack like both came on. Vehicle ended up shutting off on the interstate and I had to pull off the road. I let it cool down a few minutes and it started back and everything was normal, lights were gone. Went several more miles and had the same issue. Was able to get it home in limp mode After doing a little research, a lot of similar problems indicated that it could be the throttlebody. So I started there. I ordered a brand new GM throttlebody and installed it. Went for a test drive and the first few minutes were normal. Then it went right back to the same thing of shuttering and cutting off, same warnings for stabilitrack. This time it again went into limp mode and I was able to get it back home slowly. The first time I had the issue it did not give a check engine code. This time I got a code for the camshaft position sensor. I ordered the Dorman because I couldn’t get the GM one in enough time. I replaced the camshaft position sensor (you have to remove the starter to get to it) and I would recommend going ahead and replacing the starter if you have higher mileage and have never had one. I went with the GM starter as well. After installing the camshaft position sensor and starter, it is running like new, all of the codes cleared out on their own and I didn’t realize how weak my starter had gotten until I had a new one. Hope this helps someone with a similar issue.

Used on a boosted LS engine build and never had any issues with it. Worked as good as you could ask for.
