Excellent piece to have on a rifle. Very sturdy and holds my button tight.

Works as described but it was a serious pain to install, and I noticed after mounting it one time the coating essentially was stripped off the inside parts or it.

They have a black version for little less, overall not so easy to get on the ar15 with the hidden cable area. I do love the product when it’s on finally as it doesn’t require zip ties on the gun. Overall for the streamlight protac HL-x it’s amazing. If you’re buying that flashlight plz go to midway USA or a site that you won’t get a fake, my only advice. Overall besides the color great product.

Right off the bat, how am I the first to review this awesome piece of kit?The Cloud Defensive LCS Mk2 tape switch mount turns the Streamlight Protac Rail 2 HL-X kit into a more secure setup. The tape switch mount that comes in the light kit is a joke. Its fine for light duty/ no duty range toys, but in the extremely unlikely event of SHTF, you don't want a polymer mount and zip ties tripping you up when you need light the most.The mount comes in 3 main parts plus the two screws that keep everything together. Relatively easy to secure to the picatinny rail. I used blue loktite even though it comes with red. It ain't coming off!This LCS Mk2 mount has great cable management so you don't have to use zip ties or wrap the cable around anything.My rail is a 12in that covers a 10in barrel and a 3in flash can, so I mounted the tape switch forward of the front sight to keep my support arm as straight as possible. It's beautiful.The Streamlight light rail kit is relatively inexpensive, but they obviously cut corners on the tape switch mount and the thumb screw light mount (hello Arisaka!).The tape switch should be inserted into the CD LCS base before placing it on your rails and securing the side plates. My tape switch did not side into the base easy. I definitely had to out my purse down to get it in. It was tight, but it never felt wrong, if ya know what I mean. That thing ain't falling out, it's IN there.I was a bit worried that the whole set up after mounting would be higher than the Magpul BUIS. Only the button is. Good to go.Whether you're a range ninja or a real ninja, don't buy cheap gear. I plan on outfitting all of my uppers with Streamlight rail kits, Cloud Defensive tape switch mounts, and Arisaka light mounts. Don't worry about your gear, worry about your training.The Cloud Defensive LCS Mk2 turn a pretty good light kit into a more reliable kit.
