Raw Pistachios - Shelled - ( 1 lb)

These raw pistachios were excellent, just as the package states: Raw and unsalted. I was happy with the price too. The only thing I did have a teensy issue with, and, this is perfectly understandable or to be expected, since they are hard to remove the shells of 100% of the whole lot, when mass produced...is, that out of about every third handful or so, I'd accidentally get one that still had a shell, or part of a hard shell on it. So, when I bit down, while chewing them, I'd almost break a tooth on it. So, just be cautious, and inspect each small handful BEFORE tossing them into your mouth to consume. Otherwise, there are truly awesome if you like pistachios as much as I do. They were fresh, and raw, with no added salt or oils. Perfect. Will buy them again in the future.

No salt but still very yummy

Unbelievable ... shells, shells, shells throughout ... not even eatable !!Bought to make my famous Christmas biscotti (main ingredient pistachios), which I did not make this year. Last thing I want is to have a home full of guest with broken teeth after eating, due to all the shells !!This is the first review I have ever written, feel as though it is necessary due the hazard of the product.

I have ordered products such as these pistachio's in the recent past from Snack Farms...I love the things they offer at such a reasonable price.My only concern here is, why did I need to go six pages down to find this particular Vendor when this was the best price on these? Should have been right at the top where it could easily be found and ordered. I looked and looked for it, held out for Snack Farms because I knew they were on there since I had bought from them before.

Maybe I'm just used to salted or roasted pistachios but these weren't my favorite. They taste a little rubbery as well. I got them to make pistachio paste so I'm sure they'll do the job for that.

So I love pistachios, but hate prying those suckers open. Thought this would be perfect, wrong! They taste stale and aren't nearly as delicious as Wonder Pistachio's. Worse even, I have already come across two that are still shelled, how, by crunching into them with my teeth. Ouch, after the first I told myself it was an anomaly, and found the second 2 handfuls later. So after confirming that I did not lose a tooth or filling, I tossed the rest of the bag. Buyer beware. Great in theory...

The pistachios tasted fresh and are a nice change from the oversalted ones. I roasted them myself with my own seasoning. I did bite into a small one with the shell, so, I would be careful about just shoveling them in w/o looking first. This, I am sure, cannot be helped. They are going to miss some so it's up to us buyers to safeguard our dental work.

I looked everywhere for raw, shelled pistachios and finally found them here. The price seems decent. The bag I received did not have a lot of shell pieces or bad nuts that some reviewers found. I recommend them if you want RAW pistachios and would buy them again myself.I noticed that some reviewers complained that they were not roasted or salted. That's why they accurately describe them as RAW.
