The "flat" model is solid and reliable
Perfect product, it locked together a large sectional that is on a hardwood floor, which is probably the toughest challenge it can pass. The system was installed several weeks ago and has not released. I only have one of these connectors despite the size of the couch, and this system has succeeded where other systems failed. We purchased the "flat" model as it strongly resembles the one on another couch. That other system (which came with the couch) also held up solidly through years of use. Previously we had tried other more snazzy looking ones but those have plastic parts and released far too easily, just by sitting down.Judging by the shape of the connector and angle bracket, you have to get the installation dead on or the system may release easily. If the angle bracket is off center (rotated) from teeth, the holding power will decrease significantly. The "flat" model with the angle bracket looks like it will tolerate off-center installation slightly better than the "HD" version with the triangular post, due to the camber in the angle. The previous models from a different manufacturer I have tried had triangular posts and those failed miserably, although it is unclear whether it was due to the triangular post, the strength of the springs, or the plastic clamps (or all three).

worked great - no more separating couch.
This worked great. I had a sectional that had not been assembled well a kept popping apart. I bought a few of these. They go on the bottom of the couch, and slide and click into place. If you want to separate them, you just lift one section. But, they do not slide apart. As some suggested, I did two for each connecting section. (i.e., i had 3 sections, so used 6 of them.) May be overkill, but no way the couch is coming apart now unless I want it too.One note: this works very well for couches that have cushions extending between the section. THere are other ones that attach on the side and the sections slide into each other, but those sectionals have to be completely flush with each other. THis one works great for sectionals, like mine, that have a slight space between the units.Keep in mind that you will need about 1.5 inches of wood on either side to screw into. The more the better.

easy, worked fine and wife happy
These came just as described - pretty heavy duty to hold our heavy sectional furniture together. Definitely get the swiveling snaps as no matter how good the measurement you do, a bit of a mis-alignment would be well adjusted by the swiveling snaps. One thing that I had a doubt on was that the before attachment, the swiveling part looked pretty hard to move and covered two screw holes and I was wondering if I would be able to use those screws. But once partly attached with two screws, the swivel moved easily and I could get to the now-exposed screw-holes easily and worked just fine. They are expensive for what they do, but they are made well, look and feel durable and worked well on my sectional.cheers

Excellent product, company cannot be reached for CS
We have a large sectional L-shape sofa that already had this product in place but it was an older version where the connecting post was a simple bent piece of metal and the connection was not solid and the sections often came apart. We ordered enough of these connectors to place two on each section (as was already there) and simply unscrewed the old ones and screwed these into the same holes. The female part of the connector looks almost identical but unfortunately the old male parts were bent at the edge of the section whereas on these the solid post is set back in the actual plate. This meant we had to move the pieces closer to the edge so the connection could be made but this was super easy to do. We just used one set of holes as a guide and drilled for the rest. We did follow other reviewers advice and predrilled the holes. We also replaced the screws that came with the set with longer wood screws. Our couch is once again AWESOME!! You can sit on the couch anywhere without threat of landing on the floor and the cushions are nice and plump and fit snuggly. LOVE IT!Product lost one star because I tried to contact the seller to find out if this was the correct product I needed as this model # is NOT on their website. The phones were never answered and the voicemail was full. I took a chance anyway and am very happy with the result

Great Product, but you have to visit the website for instructions.
I ordered two for stability, my sofa is not fancy or expensive, and probably made from driftwood. I had to go to the website for instructions because it came with none, and don't try to call the customer service line on a weekend-there is no one there.Overall the installation was easy, I am not too handy and I just used a Phillips head screwdriver. If your sofa frame is hardwood, you'll probably need an electric driver.I LOVE MY COUCH NOW! No separated cushions because the sofa drifted, no falling through the crack when I try to lay down. My three boys have not been able to vanquish the connectors either. Advice, get two for each section, that way there is no pivoting at the connection.

Great Solution to an Annoying Problem - worth every penny!
Our sectional, purchased a year ago had one bracket already installed. We were not aware of this however and our sofa seemed to be in constant motion. Once discovered, we did all that we could to get it to lock but apparently it was faulty. And so, I turned to Amazon as I do with any problem of this type. We ordered two and installed them immediately. We heard it lock and our sofa has not moved at all since installation. We have a quirky problem where the male bracket was not long enough to engage. We solved that problem by using shims to align it properly. I highly suggest that you place two brackets on your furniture. Having only one creates a pivot point. Two brackets creates stability for that problem. BTW, we have hardwood floors and had tried no skid pads for the feet which did not help us at all.

FINALLY I'm not falling through the couch crevice
I've been falling through the crevice between my chaise and the sofa because the connector West Elm has on there is terrible quality. This was easy to install and strong - I can finally enjoy my couch without cursing the day I spent 4k on on a leather sectional that I fall through daily. I used TWO of these just to be on the safe side.
