Salt and Pepper Grinder Refillable Solid Wood Spice Mill Ceramic Rotor Steel Core with Strong Adjustable Coarseness

We've been through many pepper grinders - the twirly handle ones, they just get loose and break eventually - the battery operated ones, they die too quick and do not grind that well - the pre-filled ones where you just twist the cap, not enough adjustment and chunks come out, that's not grinding. Recently I found grinder reviews in Cooks Illustrated, according to them a "good/great" grinder is $35 and up! Then I saw this on Amazon - for those of you who like fresh ground pepper this is a purchase you won't regret, especially for the price. The photos they show of the various grounds are spot on and we love that we can finally have fresh fine-ground pepper. It's very adjustable, no huge chunks randomly fall out and it looks nice. Others have noted that the cavity inside does not hold much but it's really not that bad and I would think you would want to fill it more often than not to keep it more fresh. I would definitely buy it as a gift for someone and I might even buy one for our salt.

This grinder fits perfect in my spice cabinet and is well made, I love the little inlay of metal in the handle too, the only drawback is it isn’t able to take a lot of peppercorns so you do have to refill it somewhat often but it’s so easy to refill it’s not a bother.

Very nice wood product. Does not hold a lot but works very well, and you cant beat the simple but elegant style, goes well with any type of dining situation. My only issue is i thought that i could adjust to make pepper flakes bigger, adjustment only seems to make more come out at a time, but flakes are still small. Overall, really nice grinder. Easy to use, easy to refill.

I love this thing, it's far easier to grind pepper when cooking than most grinder designs I've used. (especially normal table grinders)It can't hold a ton of pepper, but I don't mind. It's compact, starts grinding as soon as I start turning, looks awesome, and grinds to consistent sizes.

Sadly the design of this product is awful. When you grab it by the handle or the circle at the top, that’s also where it connects so it falls off and the peppercorns fall everywhere. We’ve have guests spill it, we have many times, and it’s just too frustrating to use. Such a bummer because it looks nice, but isn’t functional.

This pepper grinder does a great job, it grinds pepper more finely than any I have ever used. I bought it to replace a ratcheting style grinder that had broken after only a few months of use. I had read the reviews that said this one was small, but was still surprised when it arrived. It really is small. It would be easy to store in the cupboard, which is not the case with most pepper grinders. I thought I would be filling it constantly because I use a lot of pepper. What I found out was this grinder is so much more efficient than any other I ever had that I am not wasting so much pepper. I probably fill this one less than I did my larger grinder. It is easy to fill and easy to use. I have a smallish kitchen, so I really love that I have such a great pepper grinder and it is not taking up much room on my counter and can be put away easily if I don't want anything on my counters. Very pleased with it.

like to grinder as such. it had good grip with lot of other grinders are missing. there is also down side. the amount of pepper it hold is very little so have to refill it often. easy to fill from top so there is not hassle to unscrew from the bottom..works

Grinds fine or medium coarse my turning a gage on the bottom of the grinder. Easy to refill by gently wiggling the top off. This is the second one of these I've bought. Have had the first one for over 3 years and it's still working great.
