Designed from the ground up in collaboration with Lance Mountain. Featuring a radical traction-top surface covered with 3D grip-circles (patent pending), Banana Board sets a new benchmark in plastic skateboard design. At 6.0"X23.2", this cruiser comes complete with SkateCity brand trucks, and Stok'em Wheels. SkateCity truck brand combines stylistic influence from 1970's designs with modern materials. Check out details like the fakey-do lower kingpin nut in the baseplate, and the barrel shaped bushings. Stoke'em Wheels are designed with an outrageous fat lip shape, to absorb the roughest of terrains and roll with ease up on ridges and curb bumps. Stok'ems shape avoids the speed sapping flex suffered by sharp lip "retro" wheels. Board measures 6" x 23.25", with SkateCity225 Trucks and Gold Cup 57mm 78a Wheels.

Christmas for my son
First, Gold Cup makes a better retro cruiser board than Penny, Stereo, Bantam or any other company that has jumped onto the bandwagon. Skate City trucks are better than the generic "blank" trucks used on other cruisers. Gold Cup Stoke-em's wheels are terrific. The deck has a concentric circle pattern with the circles at different heights - provides superior grip out of the box. My son skated a Penny board and his feet slipped off the board. He wanted a cruiser without grip tape and this is the best and it's from NHS, Inc. Bearings - they're fast. This is the fastest cruiser I've seen / skated. No need to lubricate bearings - it rides great.Skateboarding legend Lance Mountain had a hand in the development of this product. It's better than any other cruiser on the market.

The best penny skateboard around
I got this board because it was designed by a true skateboarder (Lance Mountain) that was popular while I was growing up. I figured Lance would never allow his name to be associated with a crap skateboard, even a tiny penny board like this one. Fortunately, I was right this time: this board rides tight and fast, feels good on the road, is perfect for rough terrain (but not with potholes or anything though), and best of all -- the patent-pending "3D" etched plastic grip really works! I've ridden this board with all types of shoes and sandals, and compared to some of the other penny boards I've tried, this one is by far the grippiest and thus most rideable penny board I've tried.

Smooth Riding
I used to ride a lot when I was younger. When my kids bought rip sticks, I searched and found this board. When I got it, I noticed that it was really fast and smooth. It rides really nicely. I have had the board for a month now and it still rides smoothly. The board is a little small and the bushings are a little stiff that's why I took off one star. Over all, for the price, I like it.

Still learning on it, but I love this board
I haven't had a skateboard in over 15 years and just got this one for little trips around the city. I love it for what it is and have had a great time relearning how to ride it. I swapped the bearings to Bones Reds and the bushings to Khiros and couldn't be happier. Great for travel as well, I brought it to NYC when making a bus transfer about 10 blocks apart and it got me there in one piece.

What are you doing reading this? Order it!
I've had this board since August. After riding on it for quite some time now, I can honestly say one thing about it: Fan-freakin'-tastic. There's not one thing that I don't like about this board. People say that the bearings are the only downside but then again, bearings are not so hard to switch out :) I rode this board in the busy streets of Manhattan, the streets of my neighborhood, college campus, this thing does it all! It's so portable, the wheels absorb bumps really well, it's light, what more can you want from this? I still ride it to this day. It rides like the first time I ever tried it! If you're looking for a small cruiser, forget the Penny, forget the Globe Bantam, Gold Cup outdid themselves with this.

Love it!
Don't know much about boards but a friend told me to get this instead of a penny board so I did and I'm glad I did! I've ridden on both penny boards and banana boards and the banana board feels so much more sturdy and well build!

I freaking love this thing
I love everything about this board. I love riding it, I love holding it, I love looking at it! The grip just bites into your shoes and provides a crazy amount of sure-footedness when riding. The Skate City trucks came pretty loose and turned great right out of the box; it makes tight turns seem like no problem, and the carves you can do on this little thing is insane. The addition of a front kick is great if you like doing tricks (I'm more of a straight cruiser myself), although I do have to say that the kicktail is a little short. The wheels are amazing - I just love the fact that they have such a fat lip and are so soft! It makes going over cobblestone and rough pavement smoother than you might think. The only quip I have to say about them is that I wish they were a little bigger (they're 57mm, I'd prefer at least 60), but the sheer width of them more than makes up for it. The only really "bad" thing about this board are (like most, if not all boards) the bearings - they come with ABEC 3 bearings, which are pretty bad, but I switched them out with my old ABEC 7's, and I'm going to replace those with some Magic bearings in a few days. The color choices are pretty bright and colorful, when I saw my blue one in cruiser in person for the first time, I immediately fell in love! Like all plastic skateboards, however, it seems more of a toy than an actual skateboard. This is just preference though, and if you're looking for both a great, fun little cruiser and a sweet fashion accessory, this board is a great option.

Perfect for my daughter learning to skate board
I thought I would pick this up for my daughter and myself, but quickly remembered it's been ages since I've been on a board. This small size is perfect for my daughter that is learning to skateboard. She's gonna be a ripper.
