Kozybaby Bath Towel Apron

After a futile search in town trying to find a hooded baby towel that was thicker than a sheet I turned to Amazon. I came across these hands-free towels and thought the idea was fantastic! The cost, however, was not so great. The least expensive all had reviews of being too thin and the thicker towels were above a price I was willing to pay. I ended up narrowing down my choices to the puj and the kozybaby. Both had reviews talking up the softness/plushness (the kozybaby actually only had one) and both were the same price point. I was disappointed in the lack of reviews for the kozybaby, 2 of the 3 being reviews from people who had bought the towel as a gift which didn't give me much to go on. I decided to buy both to compare. All in all I don’t really prefer one or the other but I wished there had been more info on each before I went and bought 2.Side note: I try to buy Made-in-the-US when I can and am willing to pay more for such products. I could not tell from either product listing where they were made (and maybe it’s because I’m a sleep-deprived new mom but I also could not find the information on either products official website). Now that they've arrived they both have tags stating Made-in-China. I personally think spending $34 on a towel made in China is a bit much and had I known this ahead of time I may have continued my hunt for a local/US product.Size:Puj- My daughter is currently 9 months old, 18 pounds and 27 inches long. The puj would have been perfect for when she was younger. When she has the hood on her head with the side corners wrapped around her chest and under her armpits, her ankles and feet stick out of the bottom. This is fine as a normal towel but is not long enough to take advantage of the ‘hands-free’ function pictured on the packaging. The Puj Big Hug would have made more sense to purchase in this respect as I would be able to use the hands-free feature until she grows big enough to just stand on her own and keep herself wrapped up.Kozybaby- This towel is definitely bigger than the puj. It worked as advertised if I held my baby with her side against me and her legs curled up.Texture:Puj- The reviews don’t lie, this towel is much thicker and softer than most baby towels you can find in-store. The pictures online are slightly misleading. You can see from the pics that the hood is very thick, which it is, but only because it is multiple layers of towel. The body of the towel is much thinner than the hood. It is very soft after only one washing.Kozybaby- The kozybaby is just as thick as the puj but not quite as soft.Functionality:Puj- With my daughter being the size she is, I cannot use the puj as it was intended. I actually end up holding the bigger tab with my teeth and lifting the baby, with her back towards me, into the hood. Once her head is in place I drop the tab and wrap the sides around her. It’s kind of silly but it works. She enjoys playing with the tabs while we apply her lotion. If you don't mind spending the extra money I would recommend getting the pug big hug insteadHolding her in that position allowed me to lift the bottom corner of the towel (the corner with the hood) up and over her head. Holding her with her stomach against me and with her legs around my waist did not work, her legs being out didn't allow for enough fabric to reach her head.Kozybaby- I actually use this towel as it was intended. I like snapping it on and not getting my shirt wet while she splashes away. I guess my only gripe would be once she’s big enough to stand while being wrapped what exactly do I do with the collar portion of the towel? It is just cosmetic but still kind of odd.

The function of this alone makes it great. Bathtime is so much more peaceful without a shivering baby. He does great now that I can pull him straight to my chest and wrap him up. I did expect the material to be softer for the price. Not that it's hard or scratchy at all, I just thought it would be a little more plush since it's so expensive for a towel with buttons.

My favorite baby towel, because I could hang it around my neck while bathing my son and keep my cloths dry, then have an easy access when the bath is over, so I'll just pull it and the snaps opens easily and wrap my son. I have used it for a year now since he was born, but it started to get small for him. I wish they made bigger sizes for toddlers too!! The size is perfect for babies though. Also, the material is very thick and nice like real towels!!

this is a great concept and very soft, but i am disappointed in the length of the towel. when i pick my baby up out of the bath, i want her little feet to be covered and, in order to do so, the remaining length barely reaches her head so that i can use the hood. she is not a large baby either and only 5 months old currently...

I wish I had bought this sooner. My 9 month old is squirmy and with warmer weather and pollen here I like to give him a quick bath every night. This towel is the only thing that make that possible. The snaps you put around your neck detach easily when you want them to, and don't detach when you don't want them to. The towel is soft to the touch and is long enough that it covers my 31 inch tall infant. I love this thing.

The towel looks long in the picture but the hood doesn't completely reach my 6 month old's head when trying to flip it up after his bath which defeats the purpose of it being an "apron". However, it is a lot thicker than the regular infant bath towels but not as thick as adult towels.

Great design. But I wished the material is softer.

Wish we had bought this sooner.
