Kool Collar - Small in Red

I live in Florida and my dog is black in color and long haired so heat is a concern. This was the perfect solution! I put the collar on when she's going outside to play and it keeps her cool and comfortable.

Bought three of these for my boxers. Seem to keep them cool. The ice doesn't last long, but it is summer! Once the ice melts, the material stays cool for a while longer. The dogs don't pant as much as without them.

The cooling part is much smaller than I expected, and the freezer packs melted more quickly than I expected, but did keep my dog a bit cooler.

The item described a replacement tube but it didn't come with one. And the item is poorly made for the cost. I would not purchase this item again

This seemed like a good idea but didn't cool for very long. We have an all black dog in a warm climate so he gets hot quickly on walks. The kool collar filled with ice kept him cool for about 10 minutes. It was nice for that length of time but was not helpful for a long walk.

We use the collar with our Cairn Terrier (small size fits perfectly). We took him out on the sailboat in 95 degree heat(heat index was over 100) and he was very comfortable. He stayed in the shade and we replaced the ice twice in 3 hours. I am amazed at how much better he did in the heat than normal. Excellent product.

Our dog is 15 years old and the heat of the summer has been hard on her. The Kool Collar has helped her. The replacement tube, however is not worth buying more. I put ice cubes in a zip lock bag and put it in. It works much better and stays cooler much longer.

I didn't give this a five star review simply because I'm not sure it's the best cooling tool for my little Norwich Terrier. He has a thick hard coat and I'm not sure the cooling gets in to him. When we go for a walk on a warm day the ice tube is completely melted by the time we get home and he has panted all the way just like he would without the collar. I have a cooling vest that you dip in water that seems to work better for him. If your dog has short hair I think this would work better. It is a quality product - made very well and the cooling tubes are easy to pop into the freezer.
