Best kept auto care secret, ever.
I’ve used this for literally DECADES and LOVE this stuff as auto wax. Slick as you can imagine, durable and simple to use. I’ve spent more, I’ve tried and hoped… nothing beats this stuff, ever. Oh, don’t forget putting on the shower walls too! Less cleaning and sparkles like crazy. Not sure about on shower stone but on my cheap fiberglass it works wonders.

The best wax I've ever used
Like anyone who takes waxing a vehicle seriously, I've tried so many brands over the years looking for that last brand I'd be loyal to. Ten years ago I found Collinite 476S paste wax and I thought it was the end of my search, and it was. It was easy to apply, especially for a paste, and easily the most durable wax I've ever put on. Then I saw this (Insulator) when I was ready to order some more 476S and decided to give it a shot. How does it compare? It's easier to apply, looks fantastic, and behaves like a hydrophobic wax, although they make no claims to that effect. The first time I washed my car after waxing with this, it rinsed the pollen and dirt right off and the water sheeted off, but you still have to wash a car if you towel dry it. If it's as durable as 476S, it should last a long time. I usually get over 6 months but all my vehicles are garaged in conditioned air and don't see a lot of miles. Even my neighbor who wouldn't notice a train coming down the road asked me if I had my car painted recently. Also, following someone's suggestion, I waxed my windows with this (except the windshield though they said you could). They look incredible and water sheets off better than Rain X. Never too old to learn something new! I'll update on the durability if it's significantly different than the 476S.

Top Notch Professional Grade Wax
I was finally able to use this. Yeah this is top notch professional grade wax. Can't vouch for durability but pleasantly surprised how easy to apply and buff off. Maybe I remember how much effort it took to buff the "other brands" this was quite easy & looks fabulous

Great as alway
Collinite is great stuff On an old school paint job it’s one of the best bangs for the buck. Long lasting and has the oils to rejuvenate the paint pigment. When topped with some 3M#7 you’ll get a rich color and depth every time. Before and after pictures are of my 1981 Jeep Cherokee Chief that came out of Southern California. The paint was in good shape but was dried out and had bad oxidation. A good polish and a few coats of collinite was all it took. The paint was so dried out it pulled in the wax oils the first and second time but by the 4 application in a week it was super rich n glossy.

Excellent Wax!
I've used Collinite 845 in the past and it has held up well. It may not bring out the brightest shine but the shine is very adequate given the wax's durability. Recommend a very thin application to a cool surface (not in the sun) that makes buffing and removal very easy. An excellent product particularly at it's price point.

No advertising, just superior quality!
I used the can wax on my boat for years. Best wax for boats I’ve found. Started using this on my truck and it looks tremendous.

For me an excellent compromise in a finishing wax
As finishing waxes and using them go over the years, I have learned to compromise! I've seen and used waxes that have a little better and deeper shine. But in every case they're fairly easy to apply but present huge difficulties in removal. The other issue is how various brands of wax survive our Western New York winters, through my experience all seem to last about the same duration! Collinite is for me one of those compromise waxes that I will continue to use in the future. Not quite as deep of shine as a good Carrabba wax gives, but one that's easy to get on and very easy to buff off! I'm sure it's been mentioned that the product directions are just a bit different, and it's a real wise person pays attention to them. Simply makes the job go along much easier, thin coat going on, work it into the surface and will be very happy with the results. The other recommendation this product really needs an adequate warm-up before use in a hot water bath! My own personal recommendation deals with packaging, that top design needs to be changed as it sits it's hard to administer correctly. This product works very well for me and one I'll be ordering again.

Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax, 16 ounce, 2 Pack
Collinite No. 845 Insulator Wax, 16 ounce, 2 Pack Pros: –Following a lot of research, decided to try the Collinite wax. Good price for two pack. My application and buffing were by hand so electric waxing equipment would probably yield even better results –Excellent results if a few easy suggestions are followed. Today’s mid-November temp was 75 degrees so ideal waxing conditions. Read a couple reviews saying application should last 6-8 months depending on weather and number of car washes. Will probably wax again in May before start of summer heat. Paste wax might last longer but it’s more work –Based on today’s use, should be able to wax entire car 4 times from one 16 ounce bottle Other thoughts: –Other reviewers recommended, and are correct, about heating the bottle and shaky vigorously to stir the wax, it is thick if too cool; hard to pour from bottle and too thick to spread. Filled a large pot with hot tap water then heated it for 5 minutes on the stove; floated the bottle for about 10 minutes and it worked great –Apply a thin layer to one section of the vehicle at a time, dries in about 10 minutes, run finger across surface, it should be powdery. Too much wax will be clumpy and longer than 10 minutes can be hard to buff to a bright shine. Started with one section, when time to buff, applied wax to next section then buff the first; used same method and moved around the vehicle –Minor issues but something to consider. Use a microfiber wax applicator pad to apply with clean, soft cotton shirt to buff; excellent results. Consider the applicator and buffing cloths one time use items to be discharged in the trash after use; wax is too hard to remove from fabric. Don’t want to re–use cloths later and accidentally wipe windows transferring residual wax to the glass. Also didn’t want to transfer wax to my washing machine and/or dryer
