I’ve been extremely impressed with the Proactiv 3-Step Acne Kit! My 9-year-old started developing some acne, and we noticed a huge improvement within just a few days of using this system. The breakouts cleared up quickly, and their skin looked so much better. What makes this even more impressive is that I used Proactiv myself nearly 20 years ago and had great results back then too. It’s nice to see that it still works just as well today. Easy to use, effective, and definitely worth it!

This is my go to product for my daughter whenever her face gets too overwhelming and I don’t feel like going to the Dermatologist. This always does the trick. I think it’s better than what they offer at the doctors office anyway her acne always clears up within 2 to 3 days after use.

I love this product and I cannot live without it. This face wash is super gentle (I am saying that as someone who has broken out after using many other facewashes in the past), and I love the way it feels on my skin (it makes me feel fresh and clean!). The cream doesn't have much of a smell (just kind of smells like cream, if that makes sense). After using this for the past five months, my skin has never looked better! I try to keep my skincare to a minimum, but this has become an essential part of my routine. I have struggled with acne for years, and it is hard to find that one product that ends up working for you, but this one was it for me. I use it every night after I take off my makeup. I apply a small drop to each part of my face, scrub it all around, and rinse with warm water. Then I put on a retinal cream and moisturizer. This routine has kept me close to acne free for the past five months. I also want to say that I was surprised by the amount of product you get for the price. I am so used to expensive acne products that only last a month or two, but I have been using this for five months and have barely made a dent in the bottle. I definitely recommend using this if you have been in search of something simple and affective.

This is good for oily pimply skin. Do not use if your skin is dry because the scrub in the face wash (step 1) will dry you out and cause more pimples. Having skin that is to dry can actually give you pimples because your body will over produce oil to try and moisturize your skin so always wash and moisturize regardless of your skin type. Use the steps as labeled 1 2 and then 3. I wash morning and night with it and by the 3rd wash noticed my acne wasn't as sore, red or inflamed. This is the only product that's ever stopped my breakouts. I warn you that you may breakout more the first few weeks because all of your pores are getting sloughed of their gunk and that dirt in your pores is getting brought to the top. Be patient with the Proactive product it does pay off in the end. I use the pimple patches they make too with the face wash system to get rid of sore red pimples in 10 hours! their dark spot correcting syrum is great too but I'd use it after your acne goes away so wait about a month to start using. My acne makes my skin look browner and this face wash lightened that up.

This an excellent product but I thought I was getting full size bottles. Instead, I got was I would describe as sample bottles.

I've been using Proactiv since 19 and I am a guy. I'm 28 now and it still works great. Here are some tips. - Use it every morning when you wake up before or after breakfast, and use it every night when you're about to go to bed. Don't miss either of them. - Give it 6 weeks of doing twice every day. If you miss even just one of those two, it will show. - Use water-based moisturizer after step 3, always. Irritated skin = acne. - DON'T touch your face, ever. If you want to pop some pimples, use q-tips. Just don't touch the ends. - Buy Proactiv's refining mask and use it every three nights. It will last 3+ months easily, it'll give you a break for one night from using the 3-step routine (4-step if you're using water-based moisturizer, and you should be) and it'll help to extend the amount of product you have. It's also just a great product. I also don't use the water-based moisturizer after using Proactiv's refining mask. However, if I needed to go back out, or I planned on doing something, I would. It would be necessary then. - DON'T make a ton of facial expressions until you have put on the water-based moisturizer. It will cause you to break out. - You may notice some white streaks or dry skin on your face, especially around your eyes and neckline, just use a wet hot washcloth and gently swipe against it. They will go away. - For those of you with oily skin like mine, don't use any facial cleansers or blot shots in the middle of the day. It will cause your skin to dry out even more, forcing your body to produce more, causing more breakouts. Instead just splash your face with warm water and gently pat dry it. Lifestyle changes. - Routinely get 7-9 hours of sleep a night. - I personally meditate for stress and anxiety. I swear by the mobile app Headspace (available for both iPhone and Android, $13 a month). It not only helps me immensely mentally and emotionally but also it helps to stop breakouts also. Stress = acne. It doesn't need to be meditation but find something that makes you calm, focused, and think clearly. - Drink enough water. "Enough" varies from person to person. Just find your right amount. - Exercise, preferably in the sun, and sweat. It definitely helps, especially for those of you, like me, who have really oily skin. - Wash your sheets every week. Not every other week, or every month, or every whenever. Actually wash them every week like clockwork. Just some final words. I know Proactiv is pretty expensive when compared to other acne products but it actually does work. I stopped using Proactiv a while ago to find more affordable options. I have tried Neutrogena facial washes followed by water-based moisturizers, Humane's Benzyl Peroxide along with their toner, and AcneFree 3-step routine, and all of them failed. Humane came the closest, especially with the toner, but it still didn't give me the clear skin I was looking for. I was going to try the acne pill, as it also has 5-stars rated by a lot of people but I'm not a big fan of taking pills. I also found out that they will send you another shipment of their product for free if you give them 5-stars (as one of their reviewers stated). Yes, it is moderately expensive. But having good self-esteem and confidence is something that is really worth the value. Being able to ask that person out, doing well in a job interview, just not having people stare at your acne instead of you when you're being rung out at the grocery store, etc. There are plenty of circumstances in our day-to-day lives where we need to present our best possible selves. I also have to mention that for those of you who are concerned with the cost, if you order from Proactiv's official website, the payments are split between 3-months. So I ordered a 90-day shipment from them and I pay only $20 a month. I ordered this 30-day shipment from Amazon because I went through the product somewhat quickly and while I haven't ran out yet, I just wanted to make sure that I had a small back supply just in case if I did to hold me over until my next shipment arrives.

Ordered the Proactiv 3-step treatment, 30-day set. That is the kit pictured. We used it before and it worked fine. Got sent the ProactivMD set instead. Sounds like it should still do the job, so going to try it out. But would have preferred if the seller could have sent the correct stuff. The low rating is more about the seller than the product.

This is my first review on Amazon, this product changed my life. I had acne for 10 years, it cleared up on 3 weeks! It’s crazy how good this is!
