Indian Art

I received a copy of this book today. This "edition" is fake! It does not meet the paper or printing standards of Phaidon. It looks as if the book has been scanned and printed on ordinary paper. The print is fuzzy and light in many places. The bottom edges of many of the full-page photographs are cut poorly - a white edge is visible! Simply awful! This appears to be a pirated book, although sold by Amazon. Trash.

It's all right for a very, very brief introduction, but that's it. After taking a class on this book at UC Berkeley, reading this book barely scratches the surface of Indian Art. If you're genuinely interested in the subject, you'd probably be better served by a more in depth treatment of the subject. The paper quality, binding, and images within the book are at a high standard, and the book itself is at a nice price point.

Good book beautiful photos and lots of great historical information. I would recommend this book to anyone who has an Asian Art history class or simply likes Asian art and History.

i ordered this book for an art class, its great, has a lot of pictures and is really an easy and interesting read. book was in great condition. i was very happy with it

needed for an indian art history course but kept it for its good binding and beautiful images and well written sections

great insight with a large amount of images to accompany it
