Eh, I could have done without a few things
Out of all the books thus far in this series, this is probably my least favorite. Frey was really stretching it for me with the scenes of rape and I will probably never revisit that one again. This one has fallen into that pile as well and I was tempted way too many times in the course of reading this installment to skim the rest of the way. The other books were fine as far as pacing goes with a steady or quickness to the events to them. This one was SLOOOWWWW in the first 1/2 of the book. If you're into dark novels, this one will appeal to you. I am not, however, and as such I really didn't need to read about repeated child rape. I know these things happen in real life, but when I read these books, I want an escape from my own life. The only reason I read this one was to continue the saga of the Stone Society brotherhood. The other unnecessary scene was the m/m scene between the Goyles even if there was a purpose to it. In Jasper, I was prepared to read about an m/m relationship develop and before you castrate me, I happen to love that one and I plan to reread that one again. The foursome scene I could have also done without and was not enjoyable to read simply because it was f/f which is not something I enjoy reading at all. There were too many instances where I was reading about the past 3 years of the heroine's life with a POS ex and his effect on her. Yes, I get that he screwed her over, but did we have to constantly read about it again and again? Reading into Sinclair's preparations for a 4 some was just as bad and, despite having been told in previous books about Sinclair's sexual preferences, we are reading about it again in here and in a foursome scene no less. Take the warning to heart if you haven't purchased this book yet and know what you'll be possibly be exposed to. Would I read this again? No way. Is the storyline good? Yes and no. Do you get an ending that ties most things up? Yes, but not all of them as there are lead ins to future books.

Sinfully!
Sin, Rafael's brother lives in California to take care of the Unholy on that end of the continent & even though he's been married many times he's never found his mate before now.Rocky as she like to be called has had her fair share of bad tragedies in her life & she's just starting to bounce back from the most recent one when she meets Sinclair or Sin as he's called most of the time.At 1st Rocky doesn't know how she feels about him but does try to take it 1 day at a time; Sin after finally getting her to stay at his home has to go to Greece to look like he is Rafael coming to see his mother as they haven't been able to get ahold of her by phone. But, on his way there Sin gets a terrible feeling that something has happened to Rocky; & he was right & he immediately turns the plane around to go back & be with her. The 2 bad men in her life were trying to get her to bend to their will again & 1 of them took it a little too far. But, you will need to read the book to find out what happens next as I don't like to give away all of the book's secrets. This was a very good book & I will definitely be reading the next book in this series.

Good just not as good as the others
I love the character Sin, but I do not feel this story really reflected what I had hoped. It just did not contribute to the series as a whole. The entire series was abot the couple, with no real regard to the clan war. Therefore, i really felt like this book could have been a stand a lone. As for Rocky, she really had a rough life. But the author gives a warning, so it was expected. I felt for her and I had really hoped the mating bond had fixed her uterus. Unfortunately, if/when adoption is chosen it means human child, which would mean watching your child grow old. Maybe Jonas can come up with something for all of the humans, so the gain longevity too. As for the earlier sex scenes. We were told in earlier books that Sin was experimental and did not discrimate, again the author gives a warning. At first, I felt like the m/m m/f scene was not really needed, but I think it was to show how lonely he was and how he was trying to fill the hole in his soul with sex. In another regards to the book i really liked Banyan and it is killing me to not know what Uri's problem is. Overall, it is a decent book, but not up to par compared to the others.

His name says it all....Sin
This is book 8 in the Stone Society series and I swear each book in the series gets better and better. Sinclair nick named Sin is the younger brother of the King Rafael and boy does he live up to his name. Sin just oozes sexy alpha and has no problem bedding females and the occasional male but is jealous of the other Goyles that have found their mates. When he finally meets his mate Rocky, he has his work cut out for him. Rocky has had the hard life and just trying to stay a float and not drown from past mistakes. This book is very emotional and a this series is a MUST read. Off to read book 9.

I could’ve skipped this one...
This was the hardest book I have struggled to get through in a while...I can usually read Faith’s books in 2 days...This one took a week...I started, stopped, and started again...Frustration overload for sure...If I wasn’t a stickler about sequence I would have dropped it. All the mates stories are tough on them, but this was downright horrendous...it just kept getting worse. Now on to Julian..!!

A great series
I'm starting on book 9. I've enjoyed them all, some more than others. Primarily because I favor some of the Stone characters more than others. Rafael, Banyon, and Sin are my favorite. I was a little disappointed that Sin and his mate missed out on something the others enjoyed. Who knows, maybe book 9 will rectify that. Hopefully, Banyon gets to seal the deal.If you like hunky good guys who fight to protect those weaken than they are and especially their mates, you'll love this series. There are also some pretty hot sex scenes.

Enjoyable read!
This was a fantastic read, with a intriguing storyline and captivating characters. This story was emotional and traumatic at times, but also sweet and entertaining. However, there parts I wasn't overly keen. But there were parts I absolutely loved.

Good read
This book in the series only gets 4 instead of 5 stars because for my taste there wasn't enough focus on Sin and Rocky. I'd have loved to learn more about Rocky's struggles, how they influence her daily life, how what happened to her made her the person she is today. Instead, she was presented as 'broken'. Also this book had lots of place/character jumping. The Uri/Fin situation, the struggle with Banyan, Julian's problems. As said, I felt there wasn't enough focus on the two main characters Sin and Rocky. And just because I'm so utterly sensitive and yearn for the absolute HEA I would have loved if Banyan's original blood or Sin's bite would have healed Rocky to the point she could get pregnant herself. On to the next book...

Trust me, baby 5 GOLD BARS
I vow this to you on all that is holy. Sin felt the love from where he was standing, and it almost knocked him down. HOLY UNHOLY! WOW!! What an absolutely scintillating book!!! This is just such a magnificent & spectacular book & series!! It may have been Rocky for a while, very hard for me, never mind the characters, and even I thought they would crack under pressure, then crash & crumble to bits! Heck, I almost did!! But there is absolutely NO WAY that Faith would do that to her Gargoyles, would she? Would she?!?!? Well, you will just have to read it for yourself because there ain't no way I am going to spill the secrets! wink I will say that Faith has done it yet again!! This is the eighth book in The Stone Society series, and even though I have eagerly, avidly and obsessively read each book as soon as it hits my tablet, I am ALWAYS blown away by what is going on, what happens next, just ALL OF IT!! The depth & enrichment to every single aspect of the story is indescribable!! As is just how much I love, Love, LOVE each book & each of the worthy Goyles! And trust me - Sinclair - Sin - is one of those Goyles! I feel like I have been waiting for this story, for my questions to be answered, my curiosity to be appeased, abated even, but in true typical Faith-fashion, even though I get some answers, some clarity and understanding, I am left with more questions & "oh you did NOT just leave me hanging" "frustration! Which brings me to my next bit of awesomeness - HOLY SMOKIN' CIGARS IS THIS EVER HOT!! This is by far the hottest & naughtiness of them all! I expected my tablet to melt! Actually I'm surprised it didn't! :-) But all of this carnal play actually suits the story!! It was/is a crucial part that helps explain what has happened before, what's currently happening, and a not-so-subtle taste of what's to come! I had to laugh at the conversations and internal struggles that Sin has with his Goyle!! Hilarious! That is always my favorite part of a Shifter book, but these Shifters are very different, so when it does happen, well I thoroughly enjoy every second of it!! I cried so many times, freaked out, panicked about some & someone, and while I tried to relax and enjoy the story, keeping in mind that Faith ALWAYS has happy "endings" for her Gargoyles and the humans they love, I am NEVER sure if the one I WANT them to have is the right person - or the one that Faith – and the Goyles themselves - have "chosen"! So my adrenalin races right along with the characters! Faith is one phenomenally talented and genuinely gifted author!! I don't just read each Stone Society book, I honestly & truly LIVE IT!! I become the characters, their hopes, dreams, desires, fears, it all becomes mine too! And I would not change that for ANYTHING! Except for maybe a Gargoyle Mate of my own! wink With my fist over my heart, I bow and pledge my love and allegiance to My King Rafael & his Queen Kaya, but also to Queen Faith, the Queen of all of this New World and every little bit of its gargoyle deliciousness!!
