The Vogek works well to extend utility of electrical outlet to USB charging station without needing a bulky surge protector for all of your electronic devices, although the large blue LED light in the center of the device willl probably trigger a love/hate relationship. Mostly I purchased this to declutter modular USB chargers around my electrical outlet, which it does do, as well as for the one extra USB 3.0/3.1 port which is a great convenience. It is also convenient for use outdoors ( as long as it is kept away from water/moisture of course). The visual appeal of the charger is somewhere between gamer geek and subtle, modern art. Probably with some choice decals you can make it fit any interior design situation.For my cell phone charging use, I've verified through my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone that the Vogek's USB 3.0 port (the single red-orange USB port) does charge the phone significantly faster than the USB v2 ports on the Vogek. However that only supports the adaptive fast charging,if the Samsung OEM charging cable (in the Galaxy S8 box) is used. Using other USB mini-C cables doesn't trigger the fast charging. The difference in charging time is a little negligible however....~ 15 minutes difference over a 2 hours charging session. So I basically get three charging speeds for my phone, from the Vogek: USB v2, USB v3 (faster than v2), and then Samsung Adaptive Charger (faster yet than USB v3), depending upon the USB port, and if the USB mini-C cable is OEM or third-party.Overall I recommend this charger, since it is small, the large blue LED charging light is cool, although annoying enough to not want on my nightstand. Definitely go with OEM USB cables (e.g. Samsung) if you are going to be using it with a Samsung Galaxy phone (S8/S9).There is an option to physically switch off the charging light as well, but I find it useful to just situate the charger in any room other than my bedroom.

This USB hub is great to clear the clutter of wires and charging blocks from the room. The built in night light is a nice addition also. We use this in the kid's room to keep the tablet, phone, speakers, and Xbox controllers charged (via a separate controller charger) in one area, instead of spread out to all the plugs available in the room.

I love the design. Keep it on my night stand. Soooo much easier than crawling on the floor to find and get to the power strip. Love the blue light but turned it off because, hey, it’s bedtime and I need to sleep. My only complaint is that It topples over occasionally. I’m going to buy another one for the living room and I love the idea I just read from someone. I’ll take one when I travel because half the time hotels don’t have accessible outlets near the bed to charge the phone.compact,

I bought some cables for Christmas that were working with my normal Apple USB charging port when I bought this the cables now work. It charges my iPad and iPhone really fast I could connect multiple devices to it at once it’s just an overall great product.

Well made, strong. My use for this was not quite as intended - I used it to secure a 65" LG OLED (which has a remarkably flimsy base for a $5,000 set, and wobbled) to the cabinet on which it was sitting, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. I live in earthquake country, and the idea of my new expensive set going over in a temblor was too annoying to contemplate.The LG has 200x400 VESA holes, so a little improvising was necessary. I also bought the Mount Plus 201Q adapter/converter brackets, and used all four plus this desk mount to keep things securely in place. Worked great.

Six weeks in the ones I got appear to be great. As a bonus that's not mentioned in the product description what I got is 3 cables with the Zune fitting on one end and a standard USB on the other end and the AC and Car charger plugs. I ordered these as a precaution, since losing or damaging the only OEM cable I had would make my Zune useless because I'd have no way to charge or sync it (thanks for the needlessly proprietary fitting Microsoft). Instead of getting one cable that lets me connect the Zune to the computer (all I'd have ordered if I'd found that option) I got 3, plus the car charger and wall adapter. These cables are perhaps afoot or so shorter than the OEM cable, but I find that convenient. I haven't used the key chain, but I'll bet it will do the trick if I did use it.

Only lasted a month. Thought this would be great for my office and keeping my phone, Bluetooth earbud and Kindle charged. Then one day the little blue light was no longer there and all my things had discharged. Electrical socket was not the problem. Unfortunately just past the return date and noted on the Voget website this model must have been discontinued.
