I love this collection. Cost to rent was great! Must watch movie

I absolutely love this series.

I can’t believe I hadn’t ever watched this until last week. My wife and I pulled it up to take a break from more episodes and actually watch a movie. 10/10

One of the best on visual effects and arts

Good movie

The challenge with a sequel is that it should both build on the earlier release and at the same time stand alone dramatically. Anybody who sees a lot of movies knows that this is a very difficult task, but Wiseman makes it seem simple.There is a very brief prelude that quickly and effectively summarizes introduces you to the story of the previous film, but the story continues to develop in interesting and innovative plot twists in this sequel, without seeming contrived. The production quality is improved somewhat from the first movie. The plot moves along nicely with a very good mix of action and character development. The reprising cast builds solidly on their prior excellent performances, and Derek Jacobi brings a terrific gravitas and interpretation to his role as the "founder" of the respective Vampires and Lycans.If you love Werewolf and Vampire movies, this is one of the most creative interpretations I have seen. If you haven't seen the first movie, you will still enjoy this movie. If you have seen it, then all the better. I gave the first version 4 stars, but I thought this was actually a little better movie in terms of the story.

Not much to say, but a great movie

Finally, a release date for the superb follow up to the first Underworld. I am really looking forward to owning this DVD, I only hope it includes many great extras like the special 2-disc special edition of Underworld. Underworld Evolution picks up right where Underworld left off with Selene (played by the amazingly talented and beautiful Kate Beckinsale) and Michael fresh off the slaying of Viktor. The storyline is wonderfully written and the transition from the first Underworld to Evolution is seamless (it's like one long movie). I don't want to give anything away (and I probably wouldn't be as I'm sure most people reading this have already seen Evolution) so I won't go too much into the story. Let's just say the 3rd and only remaining elder, Marcus, is awakened and there are issues between him and Selene. I will finish by saying that the original concept for this story was a trilogy with part III perhaps being a prequel. A prequel makes the most sense because you can bring back all the characters introduced in the first 2 including Viktor, Amelia, Kraven, Marcus, Lucian, Raze, et al. Again, I'm really looking forward to buying this DVD!

Ich hatte das Vergnügen, die "Underworld: Evolution (Limited Steelbook Edition)" Blu-ray zu sehen und war absolut begeistert von diesem Film. Als großer Fan der ersten "Underworld"-Filmreihe konnte ich es kaum erwarten, diese Fortsetzung zu sehen, und ich wurde nicht enttäuscht.Erst einmal möchte ich die hochwertige Steelbook-Edition erwähnen, in der die Blu-ray verpackt ist. Das Design des Steelbooks ist einfach atemberaubend und verleiht dem Film einen zusätzlichen Hauch von Exklusivität. Es ist definitiv ein Sammlerstück, das in keiner Filmsammlung fehlen sollte.Was den Film selbst angeht, kann ich nur sagen, dass er alle Erwartungen erfüllt hat. Die actiongeladenen Szenen, die spektakulären visuellen Effekte und die mitreißende Handlung sorgen dafür, dass man von der ersten Minute an gefesselt ist. Kate Beckinsale in der Hauptrolle als Vampir-Kriegerin Selene ist einfach großartig. Ihre Darstellung verleiht dem Film Intensität und Tiefe.Die Fortsetzung setzt die Geschichte nahtlos fort und bietet einen spannenden Einblick in die Welt der Vampire und Werwölfe. Die Kämpfe zwischen den beiden Rassen sind episch inszeniert und sorgen für jede Menge Adrenalin. Aber nicht nur die Action steht im Vordergrund, auch die Charakterentwicklung und die Beziehungen zwischen den verschiedenen Figuren werden gut dargestellt.Die Bild- und Tonqualität auf dieser Blu-ray sind beeindruckend. Die Details sind gestochen scharf und die Farben sind lebendig. Der Soundtrack unterstützt die Atmosphäre des Films perfekt und lässt einen noch tiefer in die Handlung eintauchen.Alles in allem kann ich die "Underworld: Evolution (Limited Steelbook Edition)" Blu-ray jedem Fan des Genres und der Filmreihe empfehlen. Dieser Film bietet spannende Action, beeindruckende Effekte und eine fesselnde Geschichte, die man immer wieder anschauen kann.

Avec la Fabuleuse Kate Beckinsale , Evidement ! ....UNDERWORLD 2 : EVOLUTION : Quel très beau film , d'une éfficacité redoutable ! certains plans sont réellement d'une beauté envoutante , spectacle , les éclairages donnent a de nombreux plans une esthétique bien particulière .. entre ombre et lumière ... L'ambiance est hivernale à souhait , les couleurs très contrastées ,saturés , ...qui teintent le film très avantageusement !Si l'on y regarde de près "Underworld 2" n'est pas juste une simple séquelle du premier , les personnages sont plus fouillés , les émotions plus développées que dans le premier Opus , ... Et comme l'on se réjouit de voir encore une fois , évoluer La belle , dans son costume Noir et sa chevelure d'un noir profond , son teint clair, ses yeux d'un bleu inaltérable ...Kate bondit , courre sous la neige , se réfugie dans des hangars , plonge dans les eaux glaciales , se retrouve dans des lieux médiévaux !!! et combat !!!.... à toute vitesse , exaltée , superbe , ... elle mitraille en tous sens un nouvel ennemi terrible, un mutant impitoyable !!! avec ses 2 revolvers ,(elle a toujours plusieurs chargeurs en réserve)... comme une héroine de BD .... Absolument magnifique et immanquable dans le genre !!!L'histoire nous réserve aussi des moments émouvants , aussi des moments d'intimités , avec de beaux dialogues et de très beaux plans ! .. finement joués .. le film évite toute carricature et ce n'est pas parce certaines personnes manquant cruellement de sensibilité qualifieront cet "Ovni cinématographique" de "nanar" ..qu'il faudrait se priver du plaisir indiscutable qu'il y a , à admirer la superbe de l'ensemble !!!Du Rythme ,de la poésie visuelle , une belle partition musicale qui souligne les temps fort !!!Qu'il neige, qu'il vente ou qu'il pleuve !!! Kate beckinsale restera pour longtemps dans l'histoire du cinema ,l'une des plus fine , belle et des plus "performante" actrice qui soit , dans un film d' "Heroic-action" !les seconds roles s'en sortent biens , et Scott Speedman qui semblait quelques peu "à l'ouest" dans le premier épisode , est ici impéccable , très bien .La série des "Underworld" n'a que peu d'équivalents .. une réussite.. Il serait dommage de passer à coté par "snobisme" ou par excès de "couverture chauffante".. Hi Hi...!Len Wiseman nous livre une réalisation éfficace !! .. il maitrise la situation et la technique , c'est assez clair , limpide . Un peu plus d'audace par moments et "ce aurait pu etre" encore mieux ...(bien sur .. on aurait aimé que le film développe un peu plus certaines situations ,..)..!Non .. Mais regardez moi comme elle est belle : la superbe posture de "Selene" sur l'affiche du film !!! Waaaouhhh ....!
