ECOTRIC Tailgate Spoiler Cap Cover Compatible with 1999-2007 Chevy GMC

I have a 2003 chevy silverado. I needed a tailgate cap cover and after looking at $70-$130 options, Amazon finally offered this one. I worried it wouldn't fit, but after receiving, it fit almost perfectly. All the holes lined up, and I used the provided hardware. It took longer to remove the old adhesive than to install. The material is a little flimsy, but should provide enough protection. At $30, this was a steal. I recommend it, if you just need a simple replacement. Reviews mentioned it wasn't an OEM replacement, but worked well for me.

The screw holes lined up with the OEM and fit tight on my 2007 Chevy Silverado classic. It looks good

Went without the rivnuts because for 1 I didn’t have the tool and a lot of people won’t, & 2 because after trying it with a long bolt, some washers and couple extra wrenches I couldn’t get them to sit tight enough. So I had some plastic inserts laying around garage that I think should come with it. Worked great, I do recommend this product, quality is good. My tailgate had a dent which is why it didn’t sit flush for me but should for others.

This piece is rugged and fits great on my HD2500 pickup. The metal fasteners did not fit as snugly as I would like them to but the self stick tape works well. I would prefer metal fasteners that have expansion inserts. The fasteners for a tailgate on a pickup truck should be robust.

The tailgate cap was perfect, but if anybody’s looking to buy this, I highly suggest getting your own hardware. This comes with rivet nuts, but does not come with a tool or dimensions or any adapters. I had to make three different stops to hardware stores just to install this thing. Also keep in mind that if your truck does not come with this kind of spoiler cap chances are you need to install rivets into the hole

I never write reviews but in this case it needed to be done. I saw this product and ordered it without reading the reviews. It was set to be delivered a week and a half after order but arrived in two days. So thank you for the quick shipping. After I ordered it I was looking at the product in excitement, as when I bought the truck it had a cheep double stick taped cap that blew off when driving within the first month. When looking at the purchase I decided to read the reviews and saw a lot of bad reviews that worried me. I have a 03 1500hd and the fit and finish was everything I was hoping for. Feels strong and fits tight. Gives me confidence that it will last. The supplied hardware was to small and not used as I had the needed screw hols already in my tailgate, I just needed to find the correct screws to fit. Thanks for the inexpensive product that fits and looks great.

Tailgate cap DOES NOT fit 2005 3/4 ton Silverado. Too narrow at the top. Our tailgates are thicker. That said, it looks like oem plastic. Maybe good on a 1500.

Fit gmc sierra 2004

Definitely cleaned up. My truck came with all the extra parts. I had to end up putting screws every 5 inches on the backside going all the way through because the sticky tape would not stick properly and stay stuck other than that. It’s an awesome product. It get the crapkicked out of it.
