Portable Projector Screen (150 inch)

I used this screen for my indoor fixed frame projector screen which I did DIY. I built it with 2x4 framing lumber and used this screen with turnbuckles to tighten the ropes which go through the screen.I did it very very tight that the frame began to bow a bit but the screen was holding well (no tears or rips).I stretched the screen more around corners to remove wrinkles around the frame.After all this, the image is perfect and no visible micro-wrinkles from sitting distance (7 feet from 150" screen). I did my screen test with bright white light project and I couldnt detect any imperfections or wrinkles from my eye.But if I go close to the screen like 2 feet away from screen, I can see minor imprints from the folds it came from. (I waited 2 weeks to write this review and those minor imprints still exist). But from practical viewing from a very close viewing distance of 7 feet, you cannot see any difference and is perfectly reproducing the image.My message for DIYs, you can definitely use this as the screen material instead of buying a 1000$ pre build screen.

I think this screen is pretty good. I tried a smaller one from another company, but it was more of a cloth. This one is not a cloth but an actual projector screen with a glossy surface. I specifically wanted one that had a dark back so that the light does not diffuse through when using it for front projection. It is a good size (150”) and due to that it is a bit heavy and needs some extra time to hang it up. I use it for outdoor movies and so I set it up on Friday’s and take it down on Sunday night or Monday. So it does take a few extra minutes to Go through the cycle.On the other hand, I wish I had ordered this for my indoor movie room. I have one that is a manual roll-up one that has its frame attached to the wall. This one would have been comparatively cheaper and with the provided hardware, it would be easy to hang it up on the wall too.The one negative (which may not be the case after 2-3 uses) is that it creates when you fold it to store. I was told that if I leave it up for a few days, it would flatten out. So for a semi-permanent setup, it may be just fine.Overall I like this product as the quality of finish and the material itself is pretty good.

If your intentions with the projector screen is to hang it on the wall in your media room to watch imaging/video/etc. and be done with it, then its a great little screen and it works perfectly in my smaller sized media room doing just that... Hanging on the wall. If you purchased it, like myself, to use in a more portable fashion, then I'd keep looking.It comes with everything needed to hang and quickly be able to begin using, but it didn't fulfill my need to be able to take and display while I was on an extended camping trip over the summer. It takes quite a bit of effort to assemble, especially to rid it of wrinkles and it is made to be pulled tight at every possible angle, making it not feasible outdoors without a stand, or inside if a tent, period. I needed something portable in the sense that it was compact (which it does fold to be), but also easy and fast to set up/take down.Since it never technically specified having the attributes I was looking for at the time of my purchase over 6 months ago, other than stating it is "portable", and given the fact that I couldn't ask for more when it comes to a regular projector screen for the wall, I'm only taking 1 star.

I purchased this screen to hang on the wall in the basement after I had trashed the screen that came with my projector. This is a quality screen. The material is not transparent and it is cut straight. The black backing covers the entire back (not just the edges) and the grommets are metal. The plastic hooks that come with the screen for installation have 3M adhesive and stay put. The screen arrives folded, but leaving it out in the sun on a warm day helped eliminate the wrinkles. One caveat, do not follow the measurements included with the installation instructions. I measured between grommet holes prior to installation and discovered they were not evenly spaced, meaning that if I had followed the measurements provided, hanging the screen would have been a disaster. Instead, I created a level pencil line to install the top hooks and found center. I installed the first hook and hung the screen from it with a second person supporting the weight. Then we moved outward from center, installing one hook at a time, moving then to the centers of the bottom and sides, leaving corners for the end. It looks great and is wrinkle free. We couldn’t be happier with the picture.

The media could not be loaded. Great buy ... But when I read the reviews and seen the cresses I was worried and sure enough it had them ... Now this did not affect me as far as the picture goes ... It's fantastic ... But ocd says there's a way to get them out ... And with the vinyl nature I thought heat gun ... I did no research for this, just a shot in the dark and it works ... So if your trying to get rid of wrinkles ... I'd say be careful and try this or leave it sit in the sun ... As I said, no research so I have no clue how this will affect the materials longevity but that's a chance I was willing to risk.Update;This gave me bright spots where the deep wrinkles were ... so not a great fix

pro --- 1. screen is much brighter compared to my prev one 2. includes necessary mounting thingscons -- wrinkle , lots of them . I feel this is due to packaging . If they would have rolled it and packaged it afterwards then I doubt there would have been so much wrinkles. I read lots of review said they finally got rid off those wrinkles , I spent more than an hr using slightly hot air with hair dryer with zero luck . Very disappointed .update--- after reading other reviews realized stretching is the key , so went back and pushed the anchors little bit further to stretch it , I can see very minimal stretch now , things look lot better now . But I will still not give 5* since product description is deliberately misleading , its very obvious these wrinkles are not easily going . They should have made it clear , and package the item appropriately .
