PhD PhD Smart Plant Bar-High Protein Low Sugar Bar, Choc Toffee Popcorn, 12 Bars

First time having a 'plant' protein bar. The taste is distinctive but not unpleasant. The first couple of bites I noticed the different texture and taste compared to a 'milk' protein bar. Overanoncebi finished the bar I quite like it. Overall I prefer 'milk' based protein bars, but if you're vegan these are great!

This vegan protein bar is the best from all that i've tried, and i've tried alot of brands.The problem is with the popcorn flavor, there is too much popcorn in it. If you're lucky you'll have enough for a movie night.

These dark chocolate protein bars are absolutely incredible!I went dairy free at the start of the year and I had not found a chocolate item that compared to an item that had 'diary' in it until I found these.These are absolutely delicious!!Even if you do eat dairy I honestly recommend this item and please do not be put off with the 'Vegan' label. (I only say this as I have a lot of friends who wont try my 'Vegan' products simply because they think it won't taste good!) These are even better than the old protein bars I use to eat when I did eat dairy!I can't even example what they taste like. The only thing I could compare them to is a chocolate brownie with a crunchy chocolate shell.They are really filling and a great snack when you fancy something chocolatey.They are slightly pricey but the taste is worth the money!

Looks like the chocolate has gone bad. Chocolate and sugar fat bloom. That is the technical term for the white or grayish film on the surface of your chocolate bar. The result is a grainy, unpleasant texture, and while I suspect it’s not harmful to consume, it doesn’t make for a very pleasant eating experience.

The flavour is not very palatable at all, it's not chocolatey, it's not peanutty, it's more woodchip with a hint of peanut. The texture is also very dry and crumbly making it difficult to stomach without water.The worst part is that it turned my insides into some kind of industrial biogas production facility. The sheer volume of flatulence is quite alarming starting from about 9 hours from ingestion to about 20 hours later, the gas is simply relentless and extremely uncomfortable. My only saving grace is that we have been in isolation lately but God help you if you wanted to eat one of these in the office.Your mileage may of course but I shall be binning the rest of them since I don't think they are fit for human consumption and I absolutely hate wasting food!

I’m obsessed with these protein bars. They are chocolaty enough to satisfy chocolate lovers while still being filling with a almost cake texture and cacao nibs throughout the bar. They are larger than all other vegan protein bars I’ve tried without being higher calorie, so you can really enjoy eating something delicious and substantial. I’m lactose intolerant and always had great difficulty finding vegan protein bars. With each bar having 20g protein and 15g fibre and actually being affordable compared to other brands it really is for me the best vegan protein bar I’ve ever had. I order these regularly now and they have always been delivered promptly.

Disappointed that soft plastic packaging was used to ship this item as it arrived completely battered and crushed. It means the bars themselves are broken up and crumbly which I usually wouldn't mind but it makes eating them on the go - the reason I purchased this item - difficult/impossible because as soon as I open the wrapper whole bits of the bar just fall out onto the floor.The bars otherwise are decent-tasting, if a bit dry and are moderately filling, so it's a shame that they've been made unfit for use by careless packaging choices. I also can't send them back as now as obviously I've now partially used the item.I'd recommend to the supplier that future deliveries are packaged in cardboard, which is also more widely recycled than the compound bubble wrap stuff my order came in.

I normally don't write reviews, but was surprised of all the 1* comments.My review is specifically for Dark Chocolate Brownie Flavour, haven't tried any of the other flavours.I have been eating these bars for breakfast for over a year now, on pretty much a daily basis. I love them. I love brownies in general, so that probably makes it better. They are of course made with sweetener instead of sugar, which does make a slight difference in taste, but in my opinion they did a great job at ensuring a very pleasant taste.The protein content is great, I have one of these at around 9AM for breakfast and it keeps me going easily until around 1PM.I've also just checked my Amazon order history out of curiosity, I went through 21 of these boxes since August 2019.... Maybe I need to cut down on them :D

I have had their white chocolate bar and they are awesome. I would have expected the same for these. Maybe they are old but it was like chocolate covered dust. No flavor to it.

Never in my life have I been so bloated and gassy from a protein bar. My god I look about 8 months pregnant and have LOUD gas after eating these bars. I tried to finish the box but one week in and they started giving me intense stomach cramps on top of the bloat and gas. Taste is pretty bland and dry but I don’t think the taste is as bad as some other reviewers have stated. However, will not be repurchasing because my stomach cannot handle the chicory root, which I might add is the first ingredient on the choc toffee popcorn flavor.2 stars for the amount of protein in them, because it’s not easy to find high protein vegan bars.

I like the taste and the low carb count

If I can give a 0 or - stars to them....i ordered twice for different flavors and they both some me a box that is expired more than half a year.. Really disappointed!
