Excellent value and highly recommended. Hydraulic makes it easy to pop most ball joints. Only downside is that the tool is bulky but it is necessary to support large ball joints.

I needed to separate the ballpoints on a 2011 bmw 335ix. Other separators seem to have forks 22mm which cannot get into the joint. Hammering wasn’t working. This tool arrived and is made of very substantial parts. It inserts fully into the joint without impinging on the boot, covering the bolt well. Using the hydraulic screw separated the heavily salt corroded joint with relative ease. A few hammer knocks on the 2nd joint once under a bit of pressure, and a few more turns, and it popped as well.A great tool.

This tool look good , the reason I bought it mainly it come with hydraulic ram but the ram is defective on first used otherwise it will get five stars , I contact seller see it will replace the ram for me because 30 days return to amazon was pass.The seller quick respond my complaint and send me new replacement set, the tool is solid made , it will take me some time later to use it again , expect this hydraulic ram this time withstand to it capacity. I upgrade to 4 star for seller stand behind their product.

It has 3 bars with 40mm, 34mm and 30mm wide openings.It will reach up to 100mm height.UPDATE:I used the Hydraulic Ram a few times (3-4) before the seal failed. (The fluid came out and it no longer extends)Pulled out the manual screw, coated it well with Loctite 65 % Moly-Paste and I went to work.I have used it on about 20+ ball joints since then and every time it worked great.I love it enough as a working tech to have ordered another Ball Joint Separator Kit so that I can have 2 sizes set up ready to use and extra parts for backup. I love this tool even with the hydro ram failure… I probably won’t use the hydraulic ram on the new set because the manual screw works great and is way more compact and easier to use. (It’s more reliable too…)

Have used it on import and like the wide selection of gap to most vehicle application. The tools looks and feels heavy and sturdy. It is the largest set I have ever purchased over the years. It looks like will last a lifetime. Good communication with the seller and provide a lifetime warranty. The price can never be beat. Happy with the product so far.

Hydraulic cylinder seal failed on 1st ball joint I tried. Mechanical screw worked but needed mapp gas to get it to free up. The kit is a good kit and it worked where every other approach failed to work. I am happy with the purchase but I have serious doubts the hydraulic cylinder works to 12 tons when it failed so easily. Amazon replaced the kit with a new one but I am only using the mechanical screw and not the hydraulic cylinder.

The best one is a two-way adjustment for more leverage, not 8 tons it is 12 tons, less working human power, thank you, paid 95$ postage from the USA, still worth for the money I spent, cost of repair from the mechanic is 300$, but I am proud, that I own the tool for life.
