Good device let down by weak apps
I bought this item after purchasing a Cubinote that performs a similar task in slightly different ways (I believe the Cubinote came first and this is a blatant "me too" copy even if it does have Samsung backing it). While the Cubinote has wifi/bluetooth and prints notes that are fully sticky all over, this device supports bluetooth/USB and has only a strip of glue like traditional sticky notes.Comparing the two devices, the Mangoslab Nemonic is much faster and produces a cleaner print and the Android app is a lot easier to set up (especially without all that wifi setup). All of the notes seem to stick reasonably well but in the end, both devices are just thermal receipt printers with rolls of sticky paper and apps to support them. While the Cubinote takes simple rolls of paper, the Mangoslab device has cartridges enclosed in a plastic structure which seems a lot more wasteful and less environmentally friendly. The Cubinote only supports mobile apps and a web interface whereas this has desktop app support as well. The Android app is reasonably capable but has some annoying features such as not being able to move/rotate images after text has been added to a note, only allowing a single image and not being able to mix QR Codes with other content (it also only supports basic text QR codes). The MacOS app (one of the key reasons I bought this device) just doesn't seem to work at all and asks for some very dubious permissions for Finder control during installation. When I tried to print after installation it just errored, claiming that the driver wasn't installed. The windows can't be resized and it has some UI glitches such as having a transparent background (I suspect this is because it's aiming to be a desktop sticky-note app as well as a controller for the printer). Suffice to say, I uninstalled it and won't be installing it again until it's actually fit for purpose.Lastly, this device only came with a European 2-pin plug so I had to use an adapter to plug it in here in the UK.
