Roses and Rose Gardens

I really liked the concept of this book. It's hard to find publications on specific rose gardens (except Sissinghurst), and often you don't want an entire book on one garden. This book does a great job of surveying gardens where beautiful roses can be seen. Very unique book with excellent photos.

English gardens and roses, with expert advice and beautiful photos. It also supports the National Trust, so that makes a complete package.

I love this book, the photos are particularly lovely.Others books of roses and gardens are large and bulky, while this one has the perfects dimensions. Will be a great gift for any rose lover.

Excellent writing and photography. Focus is on UK, but my region of the US has comparable climate.

This is a beautifully put together book and an excellent introduction to gardening with roses. Probably not appeal to the experienced gardener but a lot of straightforward advice for the beginner. There are also many inspiring photographs of gardens where roses have been used to full effect whether en masse or just one stunning species.Now just need to decide where to start our rose garden and which of the stunning varieties to order!

Apart from the awkward NT book shape which never sits well in a book case, I lost faith almost immediately when the first photograph was credited to Mottisfont, KENT hmmm !!!!!
