Yeast Extract Squeezy, 200 Gram Jars

I’ve been a Vegemite lover for over 5 years. Tried Marmite a couple years ago. Found it delicious but so sticky / goopy that it was hard to control getting out of the jar. Ended up giving a partial jar to friends who love marmite because I had quit trying to use it. Saw this squeeze jar and decided to give it a try. Very nice to be able to squeeze just the amount I want without it dripping all over the place. Will likely be ordering again.

What can I say.. Yummy Marmite and so easy to use since its in a squeezy bottle. If you have never had Marmite, its an acquired taste. Its salty and strong. You only need a small amount along with some buttery toast. My 3 year old loves it too.

Marmite is something you either love or hate. Mind you, it is an acquired taste (most often when young), as any Brit or Aussie will tell you. It’s certainly unique and I love the stuff. The squeeze container is great for applying just the right amount, just where you want it. Update 3/19/20 Really thought I should add this... For longstanding Marmite fans, this comment is superfluous - but for newbies with an adventurous bent, p-l-e-a-s-e take note. The usual application of Marmite to, for example, toast is a very thin spread. VERY thin. Trust me, a little goes a long way. This is due to its strong savory flavor. Here's a story for you. An American friend of mine who'd spent time in the U.K. and acquired a taste for Marmite, brought some back to the U.S. to continue the habit of Marmite-on-toast. A jar was left on the kitchen table and his younger brother decided to try it (after hearing what great stuff it was etc.). He generously slathered some on toast, the way you would do with peanut butter... Well, after one bite he nearly gagged. It's hysterically funny, but only if you are familiar with the stuff! So, heed this warning, start off with tiny amounts until you come to terms with this unique flavor. What does it taste like? Uh... that's hard to describe... but it's definitely in the savory family. Melted cheese on toast is just not the same once you've tried it with a wee bit spread on the toast before you melt the cheese. Yummy! BTW, you may recall that picture Tom Hanks posted when he was hit with the Corona virus while in Australia... you know, the picture he posted of his breakfast while in isolation... remember? I couldn't help but laugh out loud because the toast on his plate featured an extremely unstinting spread of Vegemite (plus an adjacent jar of Vegemite, the down under version of Marmite). It seems he's since learned the error of this and now knows how to spread it properly :-)

I ordered the Squeezy, but I received a regular jar. That's ok, I'm thinking I would have a difficult time squeezing that container anyway.

I grew up on marmite so I know I love it. I have always got it in glass jars before. I much prefer glass to plastic in general. However, marmite is so sticky and thick that it is hard to control even with 2 spoons from the jar. This is much easier for putting on hot buttered toast and squeezing a bit into shepherd pie base for meaty flavor. It is quite a hard plastic so I am not sure how easy it will be to get the last out. I would prefer a tall squeeze tube for ease of use. My conscience may send me back to glass though.... maybe I will just refill this from a large glass jar!.

My first experience with Marmite,I received my order on time, and it was packed very good. I spread a thin layer of Marmite on buttered toast, and it tasted like cheddar cheese toast. I really enjoy eating marmite on toast.

The picture on Amazon is of Bovril, while the description is of Marmite, which is very misleading. Anybody with a love for Bovril knows that Marmite is NOT a viable replacement for Bovril so I was really frustrated and disappointed when I opened the package, which took 3 weeks to arrive, and saw Marmite. Numerous attempts to notify the company and request a replacement were ignored, so my advice to anybody ordering from this company: 1. read the description carefully, 2. order with the intention of never returning the product, and 3. be prepared for slow delivery.

Me encanta el Marmite tiene un sabor potente pero en pequeñas cantidades y untado en pan, para mí, es delicioso. Leí muchas opiniones en internet y daba miedo probarlo pero merece la pena.

Llevo tomando Marmite muchos años, me encanta untada en pan con mantequilla. La tomo sobre todo porque tiene la vitamina B12.
