Digitrex Digital-Analog Converter Box with Learning Universal Remote Control, ATB150D

I "cut the cord" a couple of weeks ago and I'm trying to get the most bang for my buck out of over the air TV. I bought one of these for my old analog Samsung kitchen TV and I was very pleasantly surprised. It was very easy to set up, has a guide and options as for the guide. It has such a small footprint it fits right on top of this portable TV. This one works so well, and, since it has a tuner in it, I went back for another one to see if I could get my little 7" monitor type (no tuner) TV in my bathroom. Perfect! I'm so very happy! I used to use a video sender/receiver in the kitchen and the bathroom so when I wanted to change the channel in either I had to go to another room (where the sender was) to do it. Now I don't have to do that anymore! I can't speak to how well they will hold up because I just received them but, for the price, it was well worth me trying them out. So far, so good!

Everything worked perfect considering i was using a old bent antenna I was suprised i was able to get so many channels. The only problem i had was the remote battery's were dead and coroded so be carefull and have 2 extra aaa batterys ready incase.

I had cable at the time when coupons for the "free" converter boxes were given out by the government so I didn't think I need one. Once I disconnected my cable I needed a box so I bought this one. I've had it over a year and have had no problems, just one annoyance. With the attachment & positioning of an antenna, I get all the local stations (2 thru 13) plus many more. If after your Auto Search you don't find your basic channels, move your antenna to another location, do a Manual Search and "capture" the ones with a strong enough signal. / The menu gives a list of the channel programs & sometimes details of the content. / The clock uses military time and I have to use the wrong time zone to get the correct time. / The box allows you to save the channels you want as favorites and let's you block those you don't want to show when you scan with the remote. I blocked foreign languages, religious themes, shop-at-home, and pay-to-view channels. This is what's annoying: no matter how many times I block out the home shopping channels, they always magically reappear. Always. Other than that, it works well.

DO NOT BUY THIS COMPLETE PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!!!!!! I have had this thing for barely three months and it's stopped working twice. I called for technical help (which is an oxymoron when it comes to this company) and not only could they NOT help me, they were condescending and rude in the process. I haven't been able to use the remote for a month. I keep trying to reprogram it so I can change channels and the menu won't come up. I can't restore it to factory default, and tonight when I went to turn the box off by the power button ON the box, the button broke and is now lost somewhere in the device, rattling around, and it's left a gaping hole. So now I'm stuck on ABC. At least I like Castle & Modern Family. After spending $36, I was hoping that this box would have lasted me longer than 3 months. Wishful thinking. And of course now it's been too long and I can't return it or exchange it.Should've gone with my gut and given up on watching network TV when this box stopped working the first time. I'm going back to watching Amazon Prime, Hulu & Netflix on my Roku. Thanks for nothing Digitrex!***************UPDATE: After being stuck on one channel for a couple months, the box officially died. No live TV at all anymore. PLEASE DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!!! Complete waste of money!

There is a few good things good about this box and that is;; It was easy to set up, and the TV guide which show what is on which I really like. the cons on this is ;1; the connections in the back don't make the connection that good, so you need to wiggle them to get it connected and if you bump it they can come lose which our cat did.2; the remote can be tricky to work, and I never could fine out whats makes it a learning remote.3; If you lose the remote you cannot go out and get an universal remote there is no codes for it. I checked4; you cannot change the channels there is no channel button on the box just the power button.5; it is on military time and noway to change it stander time I called tech support on this.6; they have no web site to get more information on it So I am sending this back as soon as the new one that I order.

I gave this to a friend who had had others in the past which stopped working. He says this is the best one yet and he is really pleased with it. he is also electronically challenged but was easily able to hook it up and had a friend program the remote. He says this is a home run!

It was a gift. Said she likes it better than the one she previously owned. I don't know the manufacturer of her old one BUT she said this one picked up more digital channels. She in Las Vegas 100+ channels if I recall correctly.

Ibought along with the RCA An t122F they work great toghether. I live in a suburb of DC . I am getting stations out of VA, DC, Baltimore, and PA, some are as moch as 50 miles away. The Picture on my 31 inch tv is perfectly clear picture. Much less costly than Bestbuy, walmart, Target, And Microcenter.
