Works exactly as described and frees up a ton of space in comparison to the original dock, while being much more travel friendly. For those interested, the USB port is powered by the switch when it’s docked so no external power is required.

It connects to the power supply with a standard USB power lead but would not work with a generic USB power supply. An error message came up on the Switch screen saying that a genuine Nintendo power adaptor was needed and that did the trick. Yeah, sounds like a marketing move rather than a genuine technical need and it spoilt what I wanted it for, which was to have a cradle ready when my girls bring their Switches without all the support gear. Now they have to remember to bring their power supply, too. So they may as well remember to bring their cradle too. A standard HDMI cable worked though, it didn't need a special Nintendo one LOL

**Review was originally 1* as non-functioning at the time of review. Writing that here for honesty** So after the two hours of absolute frustration, this item is finally working. Because the other reviews don’t seem to mention it, I will: If you’re using an official Nintendo Switch power supply to power this dock do NOT put the USBC end all the way in the dock. Because even though it will push all the way in it does NOT supply power. It also made me panic because I kept thinking the problem was at the plug end, as opposed to the dock, so I’d unplug it from the dock to test it in my Switch and it wouldn’t charge! Had to completely unplug it from the wall and plug it back in to get it to charge the Switch handheld (to be clear, this is while I was testing to see if my power supply was working to rule it out of faults). So pushing it all the way into this dock, for some reason, temporarily shorts the power supply. Unplug and re-plug seems to work. If you’re just going to leave the power supply in this dock, as opposed to swapping them in and out, then you’ll be fine leaving it plugged in as you would with the official dock. With the official power supply the dock will charge and display on the TV in the same fashion as your official dock out of box. I will say that it can be slightly fiddly to get your Switch off the dock ((I usually do a gentle side to side wiggle motion to get the Switch off the dock)) but otherwise it feels secure enough. There is a USB port that will charge a Pro Controller (again, I have an official charging cable in use). I cannot comment on whether unofficial cables/power supplies offer a different set of problems/work better. **THIS DOCK DOES NOT COME WITH ANY CABLES. Be prepared to supply your own power supply and HDMI cable. Mentioning this for anyone who missed it in the description**. All in all for the £25 price point I paid this is a nifty little dock. It really is travel sized and will easily fit in your bag/pocket/certain storage cases.

Its pocket size and when folded up it will slide into my pocket with ease also very handy if you are on the go out and about the only down side of it is that to play and charge the switch at the same time you need to use the big plug adapter that comes with the Nintendo switch console it does make for better game playing in table top mode with pro controller top marks from me definitely a must have accessory for on the go or even as a second docking station for at home ie original docking station on your living room tv and a second one on your tv in your bedroom and last but not least on this mini dock it has all 3 cable ports 1) USB 2) HDMI 3) TYPE C SOCKET

Firstly please do not buy!!!! Purchased for my sons Xmas and have not used once!! After arriving and failing to connect we soon realised that comments mentioned having the original Nintendo charger. We had already purchased the recommended charger: adapter with this dock via Amazon so straight of the back it cost us £40. Then we won’t out and purchased another official Nintendo charger another £25 and still could not get it to stream to the tv. The light and dock itself seems to power up and the Nintendo charges while on the dock but no matter what we try it will not cast an image to the tv. All in all we spent around £65 to get it working and still nothing wish I had just spent the extra money and brought a second hand official Nintendo dock!!! This is a disgusting product and as a parent I implore you not to waste your hard early money on this tack! Please just go and purchase a second hand official dock this is not worth the hassle!!

So glad I found this. So small compared to original Nintendo Switch charging doc but has virtually the same functionality. Three ports (USB-C charging, HDMI and USB) plus a single button switch at the front. Took me less than a minute to fully connect Switch to TV. Absolutely no problems at all. If you want your Switch to charge at the same time as playing, you’ll need to get a 15V 2.6A AC power adapter (there are plenty of third party versions on Amazon). Updated: 29/12/20 - two stars dropped as one of these docks (I bought 2 in Oct 2019) has suddenly gone kaput. All leads and connections are fine but no power showing on dock so can only assume that something has burnt out in the actual dock. Disappointing as the travel dock is not heavily used and I would have expected more than just over a year’s use.

J'avais lu des articles sur un brick de la console (un blocage complet) en cas d'utilisation d'un dock non-officiel et avait peur de brancher ma Switch sur celui-ci. Mais force est de constater que plusieurs mois après, aucun dommage n'est à signaler. La connectique suffit à brancher l'alimentation compatible (non fournie), le câble HDMI et un accessoire USB (un adaptateur Ethernet dans mon cas) et permet de basculer aisément entre l'affichage TV et l'affichage console, ce qui lui donne une fonction secondaire de support en mode portable, idéal pour y jouer en nomade tout en la chargeant. Deux petits bémols sont à noter : le bouton vert brillant assez disgracieux servant à basculer entre les deux affichages et l'impossibilité d'allumer la TV en sortant la console de veille, mais pour un prix 3x inférieur au dock officiel, je peux largement le conseiller si vous cherchez un second dock.

Kleines, handliches Gerät, welches den klobigen OEM-Klotz durchaus ersetzen kann. Das einzige, was nicht geht, ist die automatische Umschaltung vom Handheld in den stationären Betrieb, d.h. der Switchbildschirm wird nicht ab und der TV-Ausgang zugeschaltet. Aber dafür ist ja der grüne Knopf an der Vorderkante. Im Hardcore-Betrieb wird die Station nicht wirklich warm und arbeitet zuverlässig. Da wir mit dem ersten Gerät zufrieden sind, wurde noch ein 2. bestellt, welches ebenso gut funktioniert. Die Switch steht recht stabil auf dem Gerät und und lastet dabei nicht auf dem USB-C-Anschluss (wie bei anderen Ersatzgeräten). Die Verarbeitung macht einen guten Eindruck.

Quanta gente ha una Switch, ma magari ha due case e se la porta dietro durante gli spostamenti? Ecco, in questi casi è praticamente d'obbligo un Dock secondario per permetterne il collegamento alla TV. Il prodotto ufficiale ovviamente costa un occhio della testa, quindi ho azzardato acquistando questo Dock di terze parti. Il prodotto vi arriva in un anonimissima scatoletta che comprende lo stesso e le istruzioni. NON ci sono alimentazione o cavi HDMI, dovete usare i vostri, di conseguenza se lo comprate non come sostitutivo, ma per averne uno extra, vi servirà anche un alimentazione adeguata e un cavo video. Il funzionamento è stra banale, dopo aver attaccato il Dock alla tv e all'alimentazione, basta posizionare la console Switch nell'apposito slot con l'USB Type C. A questo punto premendo il pulsante verde presente sulla base dovreste attivarne il funzionamento e il led si accenederà, visualizzando le immagini sul vostro televisore. Il pulsante fondamentalmente permette di passare dalla trasmissione TV allo schermo sulla Switch, in questo modo potete utilizzare il Dock anche come semplice stand per giocare direttamente sullo schermo della console. Sappiate infine, che a differenza del Dock ufficiale Nintendo, questo ha esclusivamente una porta USB 3.0 per periferiche esterne, non due, limitazione da tenere a mente. CONCLUSIONI: Buon dock sostitutivo che per il prezzo fa egregiamente il suo lavoro, il difetto principale è che ovviamente la qualità delle plastiche non è eccelsa e può sembrare un po' leggerino, non lo farei cadere per terra troppo spesso personalmente. Rimane comunque un acquisto consigliato

Scarsa qualità dei materiali. Si smonta di continuo molte volte non riconosco la console. Non faccio reso perché nei primi 15 giorni ha funzionato benissimo e ho buttato lo scatolo

Wer das als normale Docking Station benutzen will, also wenn die Joycon an der switch sind, dem würde ich empfehlen nach einem anderen Produkt zu suchen. Es ist dann etwas instabil. Aber ohne Joycons ist das super. Egal ob zu Haus oder unterwegs. Da ich die Joycon separat lade und als kontroller verwende mit einem Adapter. Diese Docking Station ist klein und handlich mit USB Anschluss, um Dateien zu kopieren und natürlich mit einem lade Anschluss USB C. Da die klappbar ist, kann man die leicht verstauen. Mal schauen wie lange die hält. 😁
