Wish it did have voice recognition
It wasn't advertised as having voice control, wish it had it

Check first
No issues with this product but the purchase was unnecessary as the issue I had with old remote replicated on the new. Turns out it was a common issue with my Sony TV - the home button not working. Had to factory reset the TV and all was resolved. Layout of buttons not identical to my old remote.

Doesn't mute spouse
Sadly universal is a little generous as it doesn't mute my other halfs commentary of the Great British Bake Off but thankfully it does raise the volume and turn on subtitles perfectly.
