truly classic Charley Pride
This album, with the exception of America The Great and Resting Place, is stellar.America the Great is too theocratic for me. I suppose Charley's view on mixing politics and religion would be different, if he were a Christian living in a predominantly Muslim country (with absolutely no disrespect to either religion).Resting Place is just too depressing. It is an absolute downer.The remaining songs are absolutely excellent, especially Cajun Party Time. They far more than make up for a couple duds. I have already transferred them to my portable MP3 player and will burn them to CD for listening in the car.

WHEN I WAS TOLD THAT A FRIEND WROTE ''MAYBE LOVE WILL SAVE THE DAY'' AND CHARLEY PRIDE SANG IT ON HIS NEW CD. I UNABLE TO FIND THIS CD IN STORES I FOUND THE CD ALL OF THE OTHER SONGS ARE A BONUS, I AM VERY HAPPY TO PLAY THIS CD TIME AFTER TIME .

Charley Pride- under appreciated
I loved Charley's new album. I saw him at the Florida Strawbrry Festival, where he introduced his new song America The Great. A very special song that the radio stations should be playing. But country radio stations aren't playing Charley, so that just makes his albums more saleable. Good luck Charley- you are Great.

who doesn't love Charley Pride??
Great album. Heard him in Mt. Pleasant, MI in April and heard him sing "Except for You". Great song, great concert. Had to get the CD for that song. All the songs on the album were great. Great man.

Awesome cd. I recently saw Charley Pride in concert and his voice is still great. I like all the songs, but "except fo You" is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

HI THIS IS ANOTHER BRILLIANT ALBVUM ( CD ) FROM CHARLIE A MUST FOR CHARLIE PRIDE FANS. 10 STARS FOR THIS CD.I'M A BIG FAN OF CHARLIE'S AND I THINK HE ONLY DOES TRADITIONAL CUONTRY WHICH IS A GREAT THING TO STICK TO AS COUNTRY IS CHANGING ALL THE TIME ( CARRIE UNDERWOOD AND MIRANDA LAMBERT ) JUST TO MENTION TWO MODERN ARTISTS TO WHICH ARE ALSO VERY GOOD.

Not first "choice"!
Just returned from Liverpool to hear Charlie Pride live for the first time ever. Really enjoyed all the hits but even Charlie forgot the words to two tracks taken off this collection. Shame, great voice but the hits are what people really want to hear. Too often stars search for new material and it doesn't work out.
