4 stars for this, I've tightened the screw in ring for the top of the magnet and oiled it all including the inside and thread. I've caught nothing more than 1 new pence so far but I think I'm 'fishing' in the wrong places - may need to be careful as the area was bombed during the war. Last thing I need is a contact mine on a UXB going off underneath my boat.Attached to a long, long rope, cast over the back and slowly rumbling along and a rate of knots that won't bring the magnet trailing up behind on the surface.
