Great brush, annoying seller
I really like this brush, and use it almost daily on my dairy goats (Alpines -- medium length coats, with heavy underfur in winter) and occasionally on our Maremma livestock guardian dogs (long coats with an underlayer). Even my cat (domestic shorthair) enjoys it, and it really helps rid all of them of excess fur during shedding times. If I had to drop down to one brush this would be the one.Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the annoying follow-up by the seller (adldseller) who was pretty pushy in demanding feedback. I unsubscribed after realizing they were going to keep sending follow-up emails, it was not just a one-time thing. Just be aware.I would order this brush again, but would make a point to hit "unsubscribe" on the first email.

Not big enough
Well, the comb is smaller than the one I bought in 2020. My dog is big with lots of fur. I loved the bigger one.

Didn't work for my small dog but it worked for my big dog.
I think this item is better for bigger dogs with longer hair.I have a small Chihuahua and she sheds a lot... so I bought this to brush her hair and lessen the shedding. It didn't work so well for my dog. The brush has two setting, one is to big of bristles and to far apart for my small dog.The second one are tight and short... which would work for the shedding ... however I think it was to rough for my dog.It did take out a lot of the hair but it irrigated my dogs skin.We also have a big Pit bull and it was ok to use it on his short hair but he doesn't shed like my Chihuahua does.So who I bought it for I was not able to use it.

Exactly what was promised
What I expected: something exactly like the Furminator but for a lot less money. What I got: something exactly like the Furminator but for a lot less money. This also has one of those underbrush rake things attached (although I have a single coat dog and haven't used it much) which is a really nice added value. The quality is excellent - even though it looks like a knockoff (I mean, "desheddinator?" come on) it is NOT cheaply built or put together. I could probably throw it out my 3rd floor window and it wouldn't break. The hinges to flip between the rake and deshedding tool work very smoothly but lock in place well so they don't accidentally flip back and forth during use. The handle is comfortable. The metal appears to be some type of high quality stainless steel. I am a young man, but I have few doubts that this product will outlive not only my puppy but also myself. On the note of emails: some reviewers have commented on the seller's rather odd predilection to send emails with helpful "how to use your desheddinator" advice. This is true, but, oddly enough, they're just more or less actually full of advice (in case you can't figure out how to use a grooming tool, I guess?) and not spammy, and they only send you three before leaving you alone, so it didn't bother me.

Happy Cat!
I adopted an older cat that had been declawed on all four paws. I don't know if his inability to scratch himself caused the issue but every time he moved, the fur would fly off of him. He reminded me of Pigpen in the Peanut's comic strip. He would also leave a fur mat on the furniture after just one day of lazing. I had been using a slicker brush and a cat comb on him trying to remove some of the loose fur. I decided to give the DeSheddinator a try before taking him off to a groomers. The first few days of using this tool I removed enough fur to build another cat. Now when I use it, a very small amount of fur is removed and he is welcome to sit on the furniture again. His coat looks so much healthier and he really enjoys the grooming! My only issue with this product is the notice by the manufacturer that it is important to follow the instructions carefully. There really are no instructions and when I questioned this, I was told that I should see the cautions on the package. Perhaps I'm being picky about the wording but an instruction isn't the same as a caution. But I am very happy with the product. It does exactly what it should do!

Teeth are not sharp enough
The dematting comb is not as helpful as I had hoped. I wish I would have bought the Andis brand that my groomer uses and recommended. I gave fewer stars on the product because the tines of the comb for dematting were not as razor sharp as they needed to be.The comb that came with this was a nice benefit and made me choose this store over others selling a similar or exactly the same product for the same price. A bonus incentive is always nice. 😉 The shipping, etc was fine and came as expected. Overall, I was pleased with my experience with this company.

Very Effective Comb
This is the first review I've left on Amazon, so it's clear I love it. I have three dogs, two of whom are profuse shedders with full undercoats, so I have been tempted by the FURminators at petstores for years, but I just couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a brush. Then I saw the Desheddinator here, and I admit, I was a bit apprehensive to buy what appears to be an online knock off. I am SO glad that I went ahead and bought it, though. I also love that it includes both the thinning comb and the rake comb on the same brush.Pros:-Quickly removes dead hair from my long- and short-haired dogs-Easily change between rake comb for removing tangles and thinning comb-Easy to clean/remove hairCons:-The thinning comb gets caught in even the smallest tangles, which has especially been a problem my long-haired bog-You have to be very careful not to press/pull too hard on the brush because it is a bit sharp against the skin (largest dog never minds the brush, smallest has twice yelped...I have since adjusted the way I hold the brush on my smaller dog).Overall great product when used with care.
