WOW this thing is bright! Nice that it comes with batteries. My only fault would be that the light does not rotate sideways. It rotates up and down when attached to the handle so it focuses the light right over the grill. But I would kind of like to rotate it to the side to illuminate the side table if needed. But it really isn't a big deal. Not a deal breaker. The switch is kind of funky. All you do is touch the switch area. There is no button. There is a silk screened power button and all you do is touch it to turn it on. Kinda neat. It takes a human touch. You can't bump it on the table to turn on. It's nice because you can just wipe it off with a damp rag to clean it. My only other issue I can see for this item is that it requires a micro phillips screw driver. If you don't have a small phillips head screw driver you will not be able to install or replace the batteries. Other than that this is a nice light at a great price!

I have to admit that I was skeptical when I received my light and read the directions instructing me to remove the light and store indoor when not in use. What a major inconvenience! Who would design a light for a grill that had to be removed after every use?! So I decided that instead of sending it back I would go ahead and mount it on my grill and leave it in place. Previously I had a Weber brand grill light on my other grill that was never removed and brought inside and it worked great for a number of years and cost about the same. I have had this light for about six weeks without any problems, so far it has been working great. It is a bit bulky but I love the amount of light it puts out! The switch on the light can cause the light to be turned on inadvertently. I would rather have a traditional on/off switch but I like the fact that the light will turn itself off after approximately five minutes.

My grill is on a covered deck with a light, but I still can't see anything on the grill when it's dark. Rather than continuing to fly blind or wear one of the head mounted lights, which I have, I opted to give this light a try.Pros: It is definitely bright enough. Easily mounts/unmounts in seconds (I take mine off and store inside when not in use). Has a wide angle of light (good horizontal coverage).Cons: The on/off button is a touch button and is very sensitive. I find myself turning it on/off by accident often when adjusting light. I wish mount was longer so it is further away from heat source (may cause damage over time) and so I wouldn't have to adjust the light every time I close the lid (if I don't, the light will hit the front panel).Overall the light works great and I'm happy with it. I can now enjoy grilling in the dark.

Best grill light you can buy, this thing is bright, ive been looking for a grill light for my grill and this one does the job perfectly and the price isnt bad at all, no more holding a flashlight while i grill haha. i work swing shifts so my grilling time usually starts around 9 or 10pm and the backyard porch light doesnt help at all, when i got this light i tested it out grilling chicken wings at 11pm and it lights up my charbroil 4 burner gas grill up brightly, i can see everything across the whole grill and the touch sensitive on/off function is the best, i can swipe it with my elbow and it turns on/off instantly, no trying to depress a button to turn it on/off, especially when my hands are full, it holds up to the heat from the grill great and its constructed well and i havent had a problem with it at all, i would definitely buy it again but i dont think i would need to cause this thing is constructed to last!!!

This is a pretty great grill lamp. I've used a few times since I purchased it a few months ago and the batteries are still holding strong. It's well built with one exception. The power button, placed on the top of the unit can easily be turned on as it's highly sensitive. I found the lamp on after covering my grill. Perhaps, moving the button to the side or changing the power method might aid this. I understand that the design promotes a more weather tolerant build, but can also lead to a lot of waste. Nonetheless, I'd buy it again if something happens to it.

This is a really neat and functional grill light. It clamps easily on the lid handle and just aim it downward so when you open the lid, the light shines brightly on your food. The switch is fantastic! If you have BBQ sauce or other residue on your fingers, you can even swipe your hand across the touch sensitive switch to turn it on or off. Before I cover the grill, I make sure it's pointing downward as far as it will go and slide the cover over your grill. Of course, if your cover is snug, you might need to remove it from the handle before covering your grill.Quality of the product is excellent and the design is well thought out. I recommend it to anyone who asks about it.

This has been a really good decision! It really does the job, lighting up the grill brightly and evenly. I've had it for about 3 months, and I'm totally satisfied. The light mounted very easily and quickly and adjusts just as easily, if needed, which is pretty much never. It turns on and off with a touch, but has never turned on or off when it wasn't supposed to. I don't know how it would stand up to direct weather, because I cover my grill, but winter and spring cold and rains and such haven't caused any problems. From my experience to this point, I would certainly recommend the Grill Kindle.

Much better quality then my last light. The instructions aren’t very good though like where the in off button is located which turned out to be tapping the device on the top. The clamp is also designed for a round or cylindrical handle but I made it work. Overall though I’m pleased so far.
