Not great, but I'm happy with it.
This reasonably good-looking replica is made of metal with wood handle sides. It feels solid and substantial with the front-heavy heft attributed to real pepperboxes. The quality is fair; the engraving is inconsistent, deep in some places and fainter in others although the lettering on the barrel is clear. There was a metal burr on the back of the trigger; the rest of the metalwork is ok. My only real quality complaint is that one of the wood handle parts is mounted somewhat askew, the result of sloppy drilling. Except for this, I'd have given the product four stars. The trigger operates, lifting and dropping the hammer. The barrel must be turned by hand. From some quick casual reading I find some early pepperbox pistols did require such manual operation. The packing was not particularly good. The replica comes in a light cardboard box. This was placed in a USPS 15X9.5 priority mailing envelope with no additional packing material. The cardboard box was somewhat the worse for wear (I ordered from Netlink). I can see where the product might be damaged in shipping with this kind of packing.I'm generally happy with the purchase. I'll be happier if I can align the skewed handle part to match the other side.

One must assume that 'replica' means more than simply appearance. This is a poorly manufactured product, poor quality, non-functional even for a replica. Arrived in two pieces which would not fit together. Limited moving parts to simulate action of original. Overall a cheap product even considering the fact that it is a replica. Outrageous price. Thought I was getting a quality piece.
