Frostbite Hot Sauce, 5 Ounce

My husband really was impressed! He said it added heat without changing the flavor. It has a permanent spot at the kitchen table now.

Thoroughly enjoying this. Not the hottest sauce around but definitely has a nice burn. And since it's clear and flavorless, you can add it to anything to give it a bit of heat. Try a splash in beer or a shot of whiskey for a new taste experience. A few drops will definitely perk up any dish nicely.

I do not like spicy foods, but i always try hot sauces that i buy for my dad for fathers day and tried this one. It has the taste of hot sauce but not too much of a bite. It lingers for a little while and has a slight bitter after taste.

There are some interesting aspects to this hot sauce. It was originally created as a drink additive. Which is evident in the fact that it is a translucent gel that is almost clear with a pale white color with glistening frosty looking sparkles added. Another sign that it was made for drinks is that it has no added flavor so it won't change the flavor of whatever you add it to. There are different heat ratings on different web spots. One says 500,000 and more reputable experts have said it has one million Scoville heat units. I added several drops of this sauce to a bowl of noodles and the heat seemed to disappear. I thought the mild heat was my imagination so I added a couple small drops of it to a small dab of Teriyaki sauce and it still wasn't too hot. I did feel sort of a general warmth through my mouth,. but no real discomfort like you would expect from a powerful hot sauce. So I would actually recommend this for someone who is new to the world of hot peppers and hot pepper sauce. But not to someone who wants real hot hot pepper sauce heat. I would recommend another sauce made by the same hot sauce company (CaJohns) that you can buy here. It's called Z Nothing Beyond and it is a 4 million Scoville sauce. (with that sauce you must use real actual caution). One great thing about Z Nothing Beyond and Frostbite is that they have a medium sized plastic pour spot so that you don't accidentally use too much. -Like I said before it's an interesting sauce, especially for a mildish heat,. But really,. no super heat.

Perfect for adding heat without changing color or flavor of food. Pretty bottle. Just watch your first pour. There is no plastic por reducer thing on the bottle. Super easy to accidentally pour half the bottle in your food causing a chain reaction of not wanting to waste your food then sweating profusely and regretting eating it and then wishing you never bought the thing when you eventually make it to the restroom. Great hot sauce tho.

I bought this in hopes of adding some "flavorless" heat to various dishes. Maybe I used a dash too much, the heat didn't get me, but an overwhelming flavor of vinegar ruined the dish. I ended up tossing the rest. Good product, but not for me. I have a very sensitive pallet. I can generally smell and taste things that others cannot.

Don't expect this to have flavor, it has none. It only adds heat to ANYTHING you add it to (even water).

I was disappointed with the heat. The flavor was meh.I love hot and spicy foods. I love hot sauces as a stand alone flavor with no food. I love the burn.This sauce had a little burn at first, then nothing. Tabasco is hotter than this and tastes better.The fact that it is mostly clear would be cool if the sauce were hot. But I can think of a lot of other things that are clear and not hot, like water.I won't buy this again.
