Sierra Electric JB6527 S/2 Multi Plug Outlet

Not the same brand as previously ordered. This is a “as seen on TV” quality product. It is NOT made by Sierra Electric, as I previously ordered.

Works great on NORMAL wall sockets HOWEVER...............If you have a wall socket that is ALSO WIRED TO A WALL SWITCH, you'll may run into a problem with this style of outlet.When you INSERT THIS OUTLET into your receptacle ......IT CONVERTS ALL 6 OUTLETS TO TOGGLE ON OR OFF WITH YOUR WALL SWITCH. I tried it on a wall plug where the top plug is wired to my wall switch and the bottom plug is always wired as "HOT". Once plugged in, it converted all 6 plugs to work ONLY if I left the wall switch toggled to the ON position. Not good when one outlet was wired to a pole lamp and the bottom outlet was used for an alarm clock. I either had no alarm clock or my pole lamp had to be left ON all the time.So, If you have a split wall socket that half of it works off a wall switch, and use it, you might want to consider a different outlet. Look for one that has only 1 set of metal prongs ( this one has 2 ) or one with a single set of 1 metal prongs and the other has a plastic prong or nothing.

the item works find but does not swivel . and on second thought really should buy them with circuit protection , especially with electronics.

These are nice outlets that are well made. They do prevent appliance cords from getting bent due to furniture being pushed up against them but i don't feel you are really saving that much space because they protrude about a 1/2 inch from the wall.That's almost as much as a cord..

A great price for a twofer, but I should have gotten the spendier one with surge protection. I think I just went with price. Oh well, I'll just not use them for my electronics. Fast shipping and as advertised.

Bargain Mart listing under 10$, item quantity 1, description title includes "S/2," which I thought was part of the part number. I thought I was ordering one. Came in a box of two. Perhaps I was ordering one box but the description on the order line item says "set of two" and what I got was two boxes of two, four items, 24 total sockets after installation. Our outlets are horizontal, so I get three up that I can see (rug cleaner, chargers) and three down for more permanent wiring. None can hold large adapters unless they go sideways. Designing for this in the future.

This little outlet saved the day, twice! We had to plug one of those big plugs in behind our dresser and it made the dresser stick out into the room more than 2 inches more than before. This outlet saved the day. I hated the way the room looked with the dresser sticking out like that. Used the second one (how great, you get 2) in the kitchen for a new microwave. Same problem, it had one of those big plugs and it seemed like the microwave was sitting in the middle of the counter. Love these outlets, probably will get more just to have them on hand.

The outlets did not work well. It took all my energy and then some to plug something in. It is cheaply made and you get what you pay for. I hated this. Unfortunately, by the time I got around to considering returning it, the time was up so into the trash it went.
