Great boots. Run 1/2 size small.
Definitely run about a half size too small. Make sure you order a half size up even with normal weight socks. Very impressed with the quality of these. They are very comfortable and super high quality, material materials and workmanship.

One of the best pairs of boots I've ever owned
I've never owned a pair of boots that was more comfortable than these - there was no break-in period at all. The boots felt great right out of the box. I usually wear a 9.5 or 10. These were size 10 and fit me well with a bit of room for when I need to wear thicker socks. They've kept my feet warm and dry without fail. I've never stood in water for long periods of time but if you're doing that then you probably want boots that are made to be completely waterproof. They handle paddles, creeks, rains, and snow with no trouble. I've had these for almost 2 years, mostly wearing them in fall to late spring, including daily hikes through woods with the dog. Traction and support are great even in snowy or muddy conditions. My use has only put some scuffs here and there - no tears or serious wear. I was unsure the laces and eyelets would hold up but so far they're doing just fine.

Comfortable Lightweight Boot
I purchased these about a year and a half ago, and have used them on two pheasant hunts, a turkey hunt, and a Boar Hunt. They’ve held up very well and have never gave me any discomfort. I’ve never even had a blister while wearing them for all day hunts. There was basically no break-in period and so far I’ve never had any dampness come through (even on a rainy Washington weekend). The sizing is accurate, however the grey ones do have a slight purple tinge to them which I didn’t expect. Not a big deal though. The reason I didn’t give these five stars is due to the tread design not sloughing off mud very well, and lacing them is a total pain in the ass. I prefer eyelets on the bottom and claw style hooks on the top. Instead of hooks throughout. I’ll likely buy another pair when these eventually fail.

My hours and hours of research paid off--Amazing Boots
I literally spent hours researching hunting boots to find the best combination of lightweight, very durable, waterproof, comfortable, Men's boot that is under $200. I am very happy with these boots. I walk through marshy areas with briars and rocky cliffs bird hunting for up to 10 miles a day and I used to not be able to walk at the end of the day I was so sore. Not so now with these boots. The insulation isn't too warm for early season and I am confident they will handle harsh winter wear. I wear a size 11 and got some insulated 400G boots so I won't have to wear extra socks so these were a perfect fit. If I had chosen un-insulated and planned on layering socks for warmth, I would definitely get at least a half size larger. Amazing Boots.

Best boots I’ve ever owned.
Took this on both a desert whitetail hunt and a archery elk hunt in the pines. Absolutely amazed at the comfort of this boot. Didn’t really need to break it in that much. Just about ready to go out of the box. I wear knee high snake wool socks from redhead with these and have NEVER gotten a blister, or even any discomfort from this boot. Throughout my miles of hiking through the spiny desert and rocky pines I can tell you that this is the best boot I’ve ever owned. I wear an 11.5 regular in most shoes and the 11.5 in these fit perfectly. The 400g insulation can be a little hot during the desert hunt towards midday when the sun is beating down, but it sure does come in handy for those cold early mornings and evenings when it cools down, and is pretty much perfect for the pine forest climate hunts. I would recommend these boots to anyone, and would tell with confidence you that you truly cannot go wrong purchasing these boots.

EXCELLENT BOOT!
This is my second pair of Danner Vital boots, the first being uninsulated. They wear excellent, no break-in required, are light weight , and ARE waterproof! Only downside for Danner, they last forever, even with continous wear.

Perfect
I bought these as a gift for my husband. He wore them hunting yesterday and came back very happy. He would not stop raving about how lightweight and comfortable they are. We ordered his typical shoe size in wide, and he said they hugged his foot perfectly while still having plenty of room for his toes. His old hunting boots would result in his back and hips hurting, along with his toes, but he hiked all day yesterday and said he felt absolutely great. His feet stayed warm and dry while hiking through the mountain streams. We live in Wyoming and while it wasn't especially cold yesterday, I believe a high of 50 degrees, the early morning started out much colder with high winds, and he said they were great. His only complaint was that the top back of the boot dug into his calf a bit, but he loosened them up and they were much better. He's confident that after a couple more wears, they will be broken in and this will no longer be an issue. It made me so happy to see him so happy! We bought two sizes so that he could get the right fit, and it just so happened that my dad fit the ones that did not fit my husband. Both of them fit their typical shoe size. My dad is also very pleased with them and plans to wear them out the next time they go hunting.

Love these boots. I have in the past 18 months bought at least 7 pair if boots from Amazon and have given them away due to a whole range of anomalies. I have had these Danner Boots bookmarked for just under two years, and finally decided to get them. first surprise was when delivered, I thought there was nothing in the box. -Super lightweight; -400 gms of thinsulate; -Waterproof; and -Wore them for a day on a hunt and found them to be very comfortable

I wanted a pair of boots to be sturdy, light and comfortable for Canada's outdoor during spring and summer and these are perfect. I usually have them on in the back country hiking that last several days. Not too hot and not getting wet unless you dip them in water for long. I selected the wide ones and they are very comfortable to wear all day. Good material and good construction, too. I definitely recommend these boots.
